Russia pulled out in organized fashion, which is why they suffered minimal losses.

A whole kilometer out is a pretty long range. To me, it seems like if you're seeing a tank at more than a kilometer out, you and the tank both are most likely in pretty open areas. This is fine, so long as your enemy doesn't have air and artillery superiority.

Remember the footage of Ukrainian anti-tank teams laying on building rooftops? They could essentially cover entrance points to cities by forcing the Russians to cross those open areas.
Obviously that only works until they figure out your position and start the rocket attacks to demolish the building. But they still lost the tanks if they probed too close.

Fair. I forgot to add "other than heavy as sin." For ambushing tanks at close range I'd much rather have AT4 CS launchers. Jav is heavier than 3 AT4 tubes, NLAW heavier than 2. If you don't need the range, they aren't worth it.

AT4 is also heavier than two M72, and the LAW has the Vietnam Kino aesthetic which makes it automatically the Patrician's choice.
