Holo is the biggest amongst JP otaku at this point. Niji may be bigger with a more general audience (though I'm not sure that is the case anymore) and Kizuna probably still is no 1 when it comes to general recognition, but if you are the kind of person who slaps anime girl decals on your car or has a room full of figurines, you're more likely than not to be a Hololive fan.

@Scuttle This is a tangent but I was reminded of it when someone brought Luna up earlier having switched companies and rather than comment on dumb pomu rrats I'd rather ask for some help putting one to rest I see elsewhere.

Got a friend of mine that I chat with often about vtubers and they're a big Luna simp and they had talked about her swapping companies and asserted that "bullying, supposedly from Sasaki Saku" led to her leaving Niji but for the life of me I can't really seem to find anything about this and was wondering if you knew any info about that situation because I don't buy into the idea that Saku literally bullied her out but apparantly that's what the Luna fan Discord tells people.

If this had been said somewhere in the thread ages ago and I just forgot about it feel free to just tell me to stop being a faggot and do my reps, but trying to search the thread for info didn't reveal much and I figure if anyone knows some old Niji info like this it'd be you.

We know the rrat pushers aren't Holobronies, because as the trolling fails 'bronies would be retreating from "It's a real fight!" into saying it's Niji uncreatively half-assing a ripoff of the current Subaru/Haachama/Pekora Minecraft drama. I haven't seen that mentioned once.

Free spin, dramafags: Niji has fallen so far into being a "streamer house" attention-whoring shitshow, that when the girls try to start a fictional beef to match Haachama's, everyone who hasn't seen every moment of the bit thinks it's just office shrews bitching at each other. All vtubing outside Hololive is a mistake.

"Sasaki Saku bullied Moruru" is basically a meme rrat that got spread so much that a lot of gullible people ended up believing it. Like the Miko Pekora rape rrat lol. It was created because Moruru was wavemates with Himawari and Sasaki and, well, it's way easier to believe that Sasaki would bully someone than Himawari would. Moruru also had some deleted tweets venting her frustration with staff but it was about staff, not other livers. Sasaki herself would graduate due to her own frustrations (specifically in regards to Nintendo permissions) and then return after the issues were worked out.

You'd think that if the bully rrat was real than the supposedly tight knit family that is Hololive would have blacklisted Sasaki from collabs, but she continues to collab with them to this day.

Sounds about right with what I had suspected. Was there ever any info on what actually led to her departure other than those deleted tweets? or is that the extent of what's known.

She was there pretty early into Niji's lifespan when it's well-known its management was really bad at the start (presumably since they were stepping into unknown territory), plus she allegedly retired four different NND channels before joining Holo as Luna, so it's probably a mix of those things. Not an expert with knowledge of Japanese though, so I'll just let @Scuttle do his thing before accidentally making people point fingers.

I probably only know slightly more than most, but I'll offer what I have.

First and foremost, Moruru let her contract run out like Kaoru of Holostars did. She did not leave with any fanfare and she was not terminated. Moruru was one of the slowest-growing members of the wave and she was around during a time that Nijisanji's management were...not good.

It is also worthy of note that Luna has reincarnated about 5 times (most of them on NND) citing lack of growth either for herself or the group she was associated with for pretty much all of them. This issue hasn't changed in Hololive, but the company is so massive that I'm sure she's more at peace with it.

ANYWAY, to put things firmly, I have seen no evidence that Sasaki Saku is the culprit of bullying anyone. In fact, Sasaki is famous for being a victim of management's poor ability to manage (at the time) and secure permissions, which prompted her to graduate herself. It's also worthy of note that Honma Himawari cried on stream and begged for Moruru to stay, yet she remains good friends with Sasaki even now; which I don't think she would if she knew she was responsible for pushing another friend out of the company.

There was a tweet on Luna's personal account, now deleted and likely not archived, that seemed to hint at poor treatment at her previous job around the time of the Meiro/Roa incident, but this could be a dig at anything, particularly the managers.

If Luna's main Fancord is peddling that, then it's very sad and unfortunate. Maybe they have access to info I've never seen before. Maybe they're run by /vt/ uoooooh mods that keep the rrat alive. Who knows.
