Saw this article just now, it's about a documentary on birth control, which really isn't on topic for this thread, except that the handmaidens of Jezebel made it all about trannies because:

The documentary dared to primarily focus on normal, not mentally ill, women and only talked about trans men/enbys at end, and how very dare they?

Except, fair Kiwis, the filmmakers put this statement at the start of the whole thing:

But, that wasn't good enough because the trannies weren't centered and given enough screen time in a film that the reviewer also said tried to cover too much in only 94 minutes. Make up your fucking mind you stupid bitch.

Oh, and the author also complained about "ageism", because the focus was on young women. Which is probably because old farts like myself are getting to the point where birth control isn't needed anymore because our uteruses have stopped working - or will soon.

The funny thing is that I bet they would be so happy to get into those stirrups and not know what's actually going to happen. Many women, who usually have high pain tolerances, faint and have extreme pain during and after this procedure.

This is a tenaculum. It's basically a pair of tongs that has very sharp hooks. It's very archaic because medical people back in the day were a bit insane when it came to women's medicine. Those sharp bits hook into the cervix's flesh in order to steady it during the IUD insertion.
