Multiple people shot, unexploded devices found at NYC train station

NEW YORK (AP) — Multiple people were shot Tuesday morning at a subway station in Brooklyn, New York, the city fire department said.

Fire personnel responding to reports of smoke at the 36th Street station in the Sunset Park neighborhood found multiple people shot and undetonated devices, a New York City Fire Department spokesperson said.

According to a law enforcement source briefed on the investigation, preliminary information indicated a suspect was dressed in construction attire.

A photo from the scene showed people tending to bloodied passengers lying on the floor of the station.

Further details were not immediately available. New York City police said they were responding to reports of people wounded either by gunfire or an explosion.

Trains servicing that station were delayed during the morning rush hour.

At this point, I don't think there's such a thing as an end to this nutjob's channels, holy shit. I'm going to have to start cherry picking the most recent/funniest/most creepy looking stuff for archiving otherwise I'm never going to finish. This guy spammed videos at a faster rate than some of the most Twitter-addicted cows Tweet. I haven't checked the vid titles yet, but I suspect a lot of what's on the "outofgaschan" playlist within the WFJFU channel is probably overlapped.

The channel you found has some interesting wrinkles, though. It helps piece together a timeline of this guy's social media footprint. WFJFU, while created in 2013, is archiving his earliest nuttery, from 2002-2008. Then OutOfGas88 was created in 2008. ProfitOfDoom, both FB and YT, seem to come after that, with their uploads petering out in March 2020. The Youtube channel Prophet ofTruth88 seems to be (one of?) the most recent, but I would have zero shock if yet more channels turned up stuffed between the couch cushions or under a park bench somewhere.



According to his About page on the OutOfGas88 channel, he used to have an account for taking Paypal donations, but it's dead now. I wonder if he had a Patreon or other ebegging sources up that are still active?

That's the most accurate "speech to text" of his videos I've seen. I haven't listened to that one yet, but your transcription brings up a bunch of stuff I've noticed just from the titles as I've been scraping these -- he's got a certain set of motifs that come up over and over again, just collaged together in different ways. The Frankenstein, Apocalypse Now, animal references, and fixation on Puerto Rico are the ones that really get me . The 9/11, FEMA camps, etc are at least pretty run of the mill, but why the fascination with the others? It's that kind of stuff that has me convinced he's a genuine schizo, not a poseur.

Well, ok, let me address them. Frankenstein is fairly allegorical. Its a cautionary tale of man's obsession with machines and the industrial revolution; that its dehumanizing and taken to a logical extreme threatens to create monsters out of us all. You can see this in the Transhumanist movement and the criticism thereof. It speaks to him in the sense that he feels society has reduced him to a machine, to the equivalent of an animal on an industrial farm, that slaves were simply farm equipment and that society still views them in this way. It ties in with his rudimentary understanding of biology and genetics; of species and cross-species. He feels blacks have been tainted by race mixing with whites and this explains their flaws, to him. I think the apocalyptic fascination is just his reading of eschatology and whatever he's read online. There's a trend in America going back to the 19th century with apocalyptic movements that has never really died out. Maybe he had a Puerto Rican wife/girlfriend, they're pretty common on the East Coast of the US or he could have Puerto Rican ancestry himself. Puerto Ricans include a good number of blacks, often with native ancestry but they tend to deal with race better, like other Latin Americans descended from slaves, than their US counterparts. Maybe he considers the black/native admixture as ideal.

All the other stuff, like 9-11/FEMA camps are just conspiracy theories he's probably read online, there's no nuance, just a superficial understanding of these themes and theories. I notice there's a tendency in American blacks to feel singled out merely by virtue of their race, ignoring class altogether, as you find even successful and venerated blacks often share this belief. Its never class, status, education, proficiency or even just bad luck that has caused them to be less successful than their white peers, its always because they are black. If I sound familiar with this kind of thinking its because I've heard versions of this every time I walked down 125th Street in Harlem, and I learned long ago to nod and say "Thass rite " and move on, becasue these types will talk you to death if you let them.

The most likely connection I spotted is this guy, Addo-Ansah Obed, who styles himself as an anti-racism advocate and "Nobel Laureate" (yet his most recent post from a couple years ago lists himself as a "student entrepreneur" -- somehow I'm skeptical some college kid has a Nobel prize or anything like it). Has a website that's DOA and has no archives. May have an Instagram but I don't have an account to check. If you check his Facebook, there's a symbol on there that I also noticed on some of the other weird Afro-kook channels that the WFJFU account is following. Anyone seen it before? Turns up on this channel, an Afro-Vegan one.



BTW, a scroll through the channels he's subscribed to is pretty interesting. There's a ton of other weird black supremacist type channels (including Hoteps it looks like), as well as a few nutty revolutionary ones, and some "end of days" Evangelical ones (I called it! -- EDIT for clarity -- I'm not saying he's an Evangelical doomsday type, I don't think he's involved in anything that conventional, at least not beyond as part of whatever bizarre web of apocalyptic ideas he seems to have developed. The authorities' illusions of competence are largely just that, illusions. For all their affectations of omnipotent, omnipresent surveillance they in truth see only a little of what is going on at any given point and comprehend less. There are thousands of civilians for every one of them, and even if they were hiring the best instead of ever more troons and Shaneequas, their ability to keep up would be limited. More crimes, even murders, than not actually go unsolved, and I expect that ratio to get worse as the economy unravels. I've queued up all the WFJFU videos, but there seem to only be a handful of videos on the OUTOFGAS channel that you haven't already gotten (OUTOFGAS playlist on WFJFU has 49 all hosted on the OUTOFGAS channel, and the channel has 55). Can you run yt-dlp and have it just skip the ones you already got from the playlist or something?
