Was he ever really interested in science in the first place or did he do this simply for asspats and recognition? Why would he even feign interest in these subjects just to turn around and focus on generic race relations bullshit?

I know this will sound mean, and it is, but shit like this is why I unfortunately can't take black people seriously when they say they're pursuing anything that doesn't have African-American attached to it. If all he wanted to do was find new reasons to hate white people, then why didn't he just major in African-American studies?

Then, as usual, idiots like this guy ruin it for the black people who really do want to be scientists, engineers, scholars, etc.

The loud obnoxious ones always demand the most attention. You aren't going to notice John or Juan or Joo Won in your classes or place of work if they're doing the same thing as anyone else because they aren't being terminally online nutcases and have their own identities outside of their race.
Side note: If someone can use something to their advantage, that's one thing, it's another to make "Being X in Y" the focus of your career. Angie Patterson is a good example of this. She uses #blackinstem for visibility on her posts, but her "Thing" is being "That one botanist who shoots trees with a shotgun".

Exactly. Put another way, what they really want is to be "professional" activists who have miscellaneous credentials strictly for clout.

The main time I eat there is if I'm on a day-long drive, which isn't often these days, and I like their breakfasts because they're huge, and there's usually enough left over for lunch and/or dinner, because I eat light when traveling. It also means just having to buy food once because I hate how much it adds up buying junk in convenience stores.

Also the idea a corporation is somehow racist after they stopped doing racist shit is as ridiculous as the idea that a corporation is somehow "woke" because they put a rainbow banner on their Twitter account.

What did Cracker Barrel do to be racist? If they're so racist, why even bother going there? That time could've been spent supporting a Black restaurant.

There were a few incidents where a franchisee kicked out or wouldn't admit a black family. Needless to say, they got the shit sued out of them. Even Denny's has had the occasional thing like that but nobody calls it a specifically racist restaurant. I think the name just riles people up at this point.
