Yep. Her design is so simple and legible it's almost a logo, and her concept is one concept, not "time-traveling detective" or even "titty clock." Shark is so strong, anyone Holo might hire would do well with it, but the real girl is exceptionally good at the job, too.

Yeah, Gura is one of the best character models for sure. It's the same for Korone. Remember that a lot of Vtubing word spread with something as simple as people posting the generic pic of Korone saying "Post this dog".

Hey kind of a left field one here, but I just noticed something. Reine has really decent mouth rigging, maybe not quite to GirlDM levels but still notably better than most of hololive. It’s weird, as they’re arguably the biggest corpo with the most discerning hiring practices but their biggest talents frequently look like south park characters when they do karaoke. It’s just weird. In my mind, jumping from a startup company to a slightly bigger startup company is just strange. The small EN companies all have a sense of comararderie so this is one hell of a wedge to drive into that sphere.

I don't think there's much of a wedge to drive when your former coworkers from Cyberlive have a server where they shittalk you. Cyberlive also has a fair amount of drama to fuel rrats that it might be a legit black company (starting off with donator tiers for actual GFE shit like 1on1 discord calls, Management issues, Talents shit talking others) so losing camaraderie with them doesn't seem to be a negative thing in the long run. These companies (Tsunderia, Phase Connect, Prism Project) also have a "unity" minecraft server too and the only ones that aren't in it (afaik) are Cyberlive and Kawaii Productions (KawaiiPro only not participating because Tsunderia males are in the same server according to rumor).
Something I just realized in hindsight too, I think the first murmur of this potentially happening was when Phase's EN vtubers having that watchalong collab for the Postal movie and it included Lumi and Yuri.

I was saw a meme chart earlier today on thread relations on /vt/ and noticed something about a former Cyberlive talent (Ayane Hylo, graduated from CL and became an Indie) apparently "shittalking" a former talent at Tsunderia that graduated a few months ago (Kirihime Ria, her "sister". You might know her as Fuzuki Miki, or even as a certain Rose at Nijisanji) and that apparently burned relations with Tsunderia. figure I'd post the post here because it has a sizable amount of shit that Cyberlive has had happen to them from back in February.

My minute of research into "Yunity" yielded this image, which has the same logo as Cyberlive.

PC taking on Lumi and Yuri just makes sense on so many levels so I'm not surprised it happened. I can't be arsed to dig through the specifics of the CyberLive drama because the documentation I've seen on the /vt/ generals is windowlicker levels beyond my tolerance (and I frequent the PreciousLeaf thread), but it's obvious shit wasn't working out over there, while Fishman obviously has a bit more of an eye for things and can help them with funding and promotion they wouldn't have as indies. They've already been well received by the PC talents' fans from the collabs too so it works out.

I can't see this causing too much of a rift among smaller corpos unless they start poaching other talents because it'd set a precedent for that kind of thing, but even if it does there's a chance it'd push competition between them as employers which can't really be a bad thing.

From the kiwi perspective it's just fun to think about the possibility of entertainers we like having similar interests to us, though that admittedly only means anything if they allude to it like Pippa does from time to time.
