Something something can't catch lightning in a bottle etc. I guarantee many of the 2view indies are copying vox this very minute including the 7 million debuting over the next 2 months. However, the Lux boys got lucky in the sense AC finally took the risk on a male wave and it struck diamonds. Vox in particular sat in the grey area of coomer bait and doing his thing, but he leans to either side masterfully when necessary. Aside Reimu, he doesn't really lean into "messing" with the girls, which so many seem to lap up (especially the chinese audience) versus the men trying to join Niji/Holo to get close to the talents rather than to actually entertain. The girls, while I like a few, aren't anything special. They have their charm but they don't really do anything interesting, and the few that tries comes off at desperate to hold onto viewers that abandoned em. I think that's why I particularly like Selen the most because while she too isn't the best, she doesn't follow the mold like damn near everyone else. Her and Suisei are similar in that aspect.
Edit: And thinking about it, talents like Enna would do wonders but realistically speaking, she's still just another chick that sings, tries to play games, does craft streams and can talk endlessly, she's talented as fuck but it really does seem in term of vtubing it's far more tougher for girls these days (now that its oversaturated) than the guys that have to prove themselves. There's really no emulating Vox. Sonny had the potential because he could have put his Voice Acting to use.
