This one's story is that they stopped working 2020 when the pandemic broke out and haven't held down a single job since. She had a """small business""" that she had to drop because it flopped.

It's always either baking or lip gloss.

As you can see she also wants an added 6k so she can bake some unappealing cookies.

These people are so allergic to a stable income that they choose these dumb deadend endeavors that will keep them in poverty forever. Seriously, there is NO shame in minimum wage. God forbid someone makes them get off their fatasses for a few hours at a time.

Correction: it's always either baking (I didn't even realize those were Oreo cookies at first), lip gloss, or beauty school. To be fair, beauty school is more likely to get you a shitty paid actual job. But like. Super saturated market.

Many people on SSI also have jobs. They are usually part time and they can only make a certain amount before losing their benefits. But they still are usually entitled to Medicaid and EBT even if they lose SSI (provided they only make a certain amount above the poverty line). Just saying that SSI is not an automatic "can't work" thing. It's basically glorified welfare since you haven't worked enough to qualify for the "good" disability. Also who the hell wants to live on $800 a month (besides lazy fucks that don't understand that a little pain means some gain).

Either I have the worst luck with microwaves or quality control really has gone to the shitter. Over the last eighteen years I've gone through five, or maybe six, microwaves. All different brands, same house. One was an LG microwave and LG usually makes pretty good stuff. Lasted two years! FFS! It's not like I'm overusing it or cooking shit I'm not supposed to in it. IDGI.

Having said that, $450 for a microwave is retarded. My current one is a Panasonic something I got off Amazon for less than $200. It had tons of reviews so hopefully this one lasts a while. (Now that I've said that I expect it to die immediately)

Meh, those cheap little microwaves are indeed under powered, but they can last. Have a cheap, underpowered microwave as my primary cooking source in my camper, and lived in that fucker for over 2 years at my final duty station. If you treat them nice, they can be used daily and not crap out on you. Just have to work within their limitations.

Guarantee these chintzy bastards aren't cooking enough to need a $450 microwave. It'd probably just be used to reheat old McDonalds burgers that somehow escaped their fatty fat midnight binges and were found on the couch around breakfast time the next day.

I've had a relatively cheap microwave in my house for over ten years. I can't remember what it cost other than it was around $50. This was still over ten years ago $50, but still. I don't use it every day but it does get regular use. Heats up shit just fine.

Not to derail the thread much with microwave sperging, but our Hotpoint microwave is going to turn 20 next year, I got it for about $30 on a sale when I worked as a bagger at a mall in junior high (they were getting rid of those since nobody was buying them because Hotpoint was not even a brand with marketshare here); on the same note, I have our old Frigidaire washing machine from where I still lived with my parents, it turns 22 this year and it still works (with minor caveats). So I can safely say that quality has gone to the shitter lately with home appliances.

I would definitely worry about utilities before furniture, but I suppose that means that I'm a saner human than I thought I was. Most people I knew that started out with nothing had a mattress, maybe a bed frame or couch, and then built from there whenever they could save up or get it for cheap. I think of people like Marissa Davis claiming that they're starting from nothing but so poor and yet their parents bought them goddamned balcony furniture for the apartment they're co signing for.

I'll admit, I've spent some good money on random shit in the past. Feather paintings are one thing I've splurged on.

Now this? THIS is something I'd spend good money on. Especially if it was mounted in a frame with some leaves and shit to accompany it. Like mount it on a burgundy felt backdrop with some nice green leaves and a few dried yellow flowers to compliment the colors on the feathers and the white coloration of the feathers themselves. I will admit to liking this spread.

Holy shit is that well done. I'd frame mount that thing with a few seashells around it. Maybe a black felt background. Do that for to sell it, and I can imagine it selling for a good penny.

That painting is hot garbage and $55 (let's face it, a $10 dollar bill) is too much. The value of the blank canvas has been depreciated by that slovenly 'work.'
