I used to watch his sonic fanfiction readings.
Most importantly his 9/11 & Tails is Gay videos.
Those were funny as fuck.
He said faggot in the tails one. OR that was Jesse. I'm not sure which.
I always say this about lolcows who have terrible voices but I can at least say Dillin understood how audio levels work, how to use a microphone, and how to speak without mumbling or stuttering all the time.
It's not easy to speak clearly all the time, not many sonic YouTubers have good enough social skills to speak in a stream format, and he at least knows audio shouldn't be full of breathing and static.
His fanfic reads were good because they had some form of comprehension and some form of charm as it was usually came off as a group of pals ragging on some stupid story with that one guy doing a great sonic voice going "Amy!" Can't remember if that was Jesse, but it was something that made me laugh every time.
I don't know why, but Sonic really does bring in the freaks of the world and combines then as a damn Voltron as they join forces and cover each other for their illegal and immoral acts. But it's not like you're going to find a normal average joe who holds hands with their family at dinner to say grace and fucks their wife missionary where they will then decide to become a sonic/Chris Chan YouTuber.
That's an extreme amount of dedication that either takes them to great heights like Geno Samuel or to great lows like Guptill89 or any of the other sonic fags who were big stars in the old days of YouTube. Damn I feel old realizing that sonic faggotry has been this rampant since the first game came out practically.
And I know a good amount of sonic fans who are functional. They like the game, it's a big part of their life, they make a video or two, make a fanfic, that's it. But people like Dillin turn sonic into some kind of weird world of crazy drama that doesn't need to even exist. Artificial GMO non-vegan drama.
I guess what really bugged me about Dillin was his infamous video where he reveals his terrible agreement with Jesse to hide his power level and endanger kids when their channel is practically aimed at kids with the content he makes. Comics, sonic, fanfics, this is a very sensitive area of YouTube that is full of evil people. For me it took a while to download in my head how unbelievably stupid it was for him to protect Jesse over what was basically Taco Bell money for Dillin to live on while doing nothing with his life.
Kids in danger, pedo predator on the loose, Dillin enables it. Dumb move.
Channel on verge of ruins, Dillin argues with Rogue for literally no reason(someone please help me understand what that argument was even about), Dillin starts attacking more channels who cover it. Worse move for the channel he sacrificed his soul to protect.
I'm sure this was said before but this is Chris Chan level of incompetence. This is like Chris Chan grabbing for a glass of water and lighting his house on fire level of incompetence (or whatever it was. Toaster fell in the bathtub, whatever he did to light his house on fire).
Interesting to think that if he did come back, would his fans return or reject him? Inevitably, it would be a change of a new guard, a new crew of supporters, so maybe Dillin's only choice to come back would be to become an anime channel or the new Mr. Enter, but I can expect he'll mess that up too, because the issue is Dillin himself.
