Late, but going back to the whole Keffals not being a "dudebro debater" type, I think it's interesting how he took his stance. Clearly, he is a debater type, he just needs a comfortable environment (as most people do). Technically there is no inherent problem with that, it's how a lot of hardcore religious people operate: state a strong claim that you believe amongst family, but back out of the conversation if you're met with a hard question often with "well, it's my religion." People have a tendency to say what they think is right, but don't want to deal with the consequences of a rebuttal or thinking about the other side because what was right becomes wrong, that or one of your own family is now in that "wrong." It's no question that troons take the same stance (can't have this guy believing he's not a woman!), but unlike the example of some trad catholic who is just trying to live the way they were raised, their impact isn't the same as Keffals, who is doing the same thing but with a platform (no bots, totally).
Arguing in comfort usually just means with friends or people you know well enough that anything brought up isn't in bad taste. But isn't it funny: Keffals is fine dragging anyone down with anything possible while crying "internet mean" when the same gets thrown back (or just denying it, new day, new excuse). Crazy how making other people uncomfortable would make people want you to be uncomfortable, but at the end of the day, it's all nothing personal until he gets attacked. Troons aren't well known for giving benefit of the doubt for opposition, but damn, do they sure want it when they're on blast. Reap what you sow, call dah twansphobes subhuman, don't pretend you can't be called subhuman. I'd say a lot of his issues would be resolved if he tried to treat people how he wants to be treated, but it's not even that, just treat people with even the tiniest respect. Doing that gets you the pity points you need, but what do I know, this guy has a server full of lurkers ready to praise him for "bravery."
