The problem is that you need puberty to become mature enough for these decisions. Growing isn't just time to experience the crap world can give out but going trough biological processes that accommodate better thinking. That means puberty and all the uncomfortable changes that come with it.

I'm willing to think a select few don't want to be given national or international attention. But they all wouldn't bat an eye if everyone suddenly accepted the identities they've made for themselves, without question. At least until their own self-destructive behaviors make them want a sense of doubt within the winder population, so as to distract them from how terrible their lives are becoming.
I rather dislike how they seem to think puberty blockers are equivalent to flipping a switch, when they're more akin to shutting a pressure-valve in a water-pipe. The effects aren't explosive, but forever-damaging.

It's also only women's subs specifically that are being shut down for "not including trans women."
