General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

The Aqua hype is insane (edit: final peak was 120k)

Also I peaked in rpr's commentary, he said he is going to put out multiple original songs this year. This guy... :story:

Good morning! rpr is being very informative this morning. I didn't know there was a chuuba esports company. And their models are cute.
VSPO is fairly well-known in Japan. 6-digit sub counts is big stuff when you consider that they only operate in one country. They have like 10 members participating in VSaikyou compared with the 5+2 from Hololive and Holostars.

Also notable is some company called Neo-Porte which whose founders include Shibuya HAL and mafumafu.

Then you consider that 80% of NIJISANJI has no western presence, yet also racks up 6-digit subscribers on almost every member. They pretty much dominate Japan.
If you want to follow VSaikyo with English expert commentary, you can watch rpr

StartEnd starts off the tournament by ending in 20th place

It’s well known that after each EN talent survived the grueling interview rounds and got hired and got a 1 on 1 zoom call with yagoo warmly welcoming them to the company he’d proceed to coldly ask them to speak clearly and concisely into the mic “nigger”. What he does with the recordings saved on his thumb drive is anyone’s guess, but mine is to eventually initiate the final yab and trigger the human instrumentality project.

V-Saikyou Commentary

Pretty much every team looking nervous as fuck right now as the early game quickly descended into a massive dogfight.

Siro Channel carrying the torch for the OG V-Tubers with an early win. Upsets as Towa's team take dead last and Chihiro and Matsuri's teams fare no better. It's going to be a scrappy tournament.

The big hitters during scrims continue to struggle. Towa's team with another gut punch but Pakael and Chihiro suffer another low-scoring game.

Deron's team take 1st Place which puts them in 1st overall. Yuika Shiina's team have come out of practically nowhere to take 2nd whilst Siro falls to 3rd. Reimu's team currently remain in the Top 5.

The game will change completely in rounds 4 and 5 as the kill cap is removed, but for now it's best Towa's team plays more passively to get some points on the board.

Naraka's sudden siege on the tournament continues with a 1st Place finish, assisted by the fact the both Deron's team and Gorilla's team (who were 1st and 3rd respectively) placed 7th and 8th, giving them a 9pt lead going into the 4th Round.

StartEnd were able to clear their first hurdle by killing Axia's team, who killed them last time, but ran into a Noah-shaped wall that dumped them out into 15th.

The kill caps are off now so things can change drastically.

Kuzuha's team edges out Noah's team in a highly congested final zone to secure 2nd on the leaderboards. 10 kills and a 2nd Place for Noah's team puts them back into the Top 5, and despite a 10th Place finish, Naraka's team holds 1st Place by 8pts.

A nice surprise as Roberu's team, who haven't won a single match in scrims, sit in 6th Place with a good shot at Top 3 as we go into the final round.

Bad Valk Ult landed them in the middle of several teams.

They also want to do a Margrit run and eventually pvp when Calli sets up a PC character.
Funny enough, there was a very dedicated Deadbeat that followed her playthrough along and recreated her save on Nexus, specifically for her to use if she moved to PC. Same created character, same stats, same items etc. Kind of wild with that dedication. I'm unsure if they kept it updated or not though, I haven't looked at ER mods in a few weeks.

Edit: https://www.nexusmods.com/eldenring/mods/95

Looks like they're still at it. Updated today actually.

Kinda surprised that there are VTubers watching along Super GT

Pacific Racing Team x Hololive currently in 3rd

Highlight from Free Practice, with Pacific x Hololive in the thumbnail

Highlight from GT300 class Qualifying yesterday
It's so weird when two niche interests one has come together like this. I've decided to enjoy it, simp money might finally displace cigarettes and oil as motorsport bankrollers.

Noticed something in Pippas chat. We all know Vee's main got banned as well as off the discord, but if you mention his name your message gets deleted. He shat everything up so bad his name is forbidden, and he still hasn't figured out that everyone hates him.

edit. I know theres the don't bring up other streamers rule, but I have never seen it enforced in Pippas chat prior to this.

Coming in 10 pages late, but as some said, vee is very fucking active in yuni's discord and live chat. I think him being banned in Pippa's chat is more of a management decision than anything.

Yuni is actively trying to separate the two personas, trying to enforce a cleaner image.

She asked for no lewd fanart, "family friendly chat", and looks like they're making the effort to ban ppl using yuni's emotes on PC's other talent's chat.

IDK if it's because being an edgy rabbit is starting to take a toll on her or if she doesn't want to make waves big enough so people not in the know can find her on twitch, as she said she's not actively looking for more growth on the channel.

KUZUHA is your APEX Champion!

Screenshot_20220417-140056_YouTube.jpg

A string of solid performances kept their head abover water, as Naraka's team struggled to hold onto their lead in rounds 4 and 5. Minase's team leaps from 7th to 2nd after a frightening 21-kill winning game in Round 5.

Roberu and Reimu's teams take a respectable 6th and 7th Place, respectively; making Roberu the highest-scoring member of HoloPro in the tournament.

NIUN, the lowest-ranked team in the tournament, had a good enough final game to jump from 20th above Aqua, Matsuri, and Chihiro, which I'm sure they'll appreciate.

Kuzuha's team really played well. Startend had fun at least. They won the 16th place prize too. They were definitely beaten by experience. Aqua playing as part of a team is new ground for her, Suisei played far above expectations and they had a good tournament. I hope this leads to more collabs for the three of them as I enjoy their chemistry.

Lol, Towa (and Matsuri) already won a PC in the second tournament last year and now she along with Suisei und Aqua got another one since they placed 16th. It's an GALLERIA ZA9C-R39 which should be an i9-12900k and RTX 3090 which is a pretty neat setup. But right now of course they're disappointed that they didn't perform better.
Also impressed by Roberu's team, this guy just can't stop winning. Especially when you consider that Lisa only came across him through searching on youtube

Was he really that bad? I know the whole kick vee thing but I thought it was just a meme used to bully gypsies. I never paid enough attention to the chat to see what he was doing. I did see him publicly call out Yuni on twitter, heavily implying that she was Pippa.
