To get those sponsor reads you have to stay as close to the script as possible. Not sure what he said but he probably wasn't allowed to veer off even if he didn't know anything

Tim is by no means a tech guy, he's a guy who was around tech, sort of like those tech journalists that get excited about solar roadways and other gimmicky crap that when you think about it even a little you realize it's retarded. Notice how Tim always mentions stuff like building a robot/car out of a soda can, that's something little kids do as projects in schools these days, and they've even made fully programmable ones with a GUI programming language, but to his boomer brain it's something special.

Kind of, it seems like it's a bit of a coin flip in terms of what you can get away. Rusty Cage mentioned he did one for Raid Shadow Legends and even though they gave him a strict script he was able to make the video look like he was reading it at gun point and they didn't really have an issue with it after it released. I've heard similar things from others, so a lot of times if you do it and it's not just shitting on the company or product they mostly let it slide.

Yeah like a lot of other aspects of Tim's life his tech interest seems to be a bit of a LARP. I remember a few years back he did a story about linux and claimed he uses it, yet every computer in his compound clearly has Windows 10 and the only linux we've seen was a basic Ubuntu install (and I think it was the computer of one of his workers). Guess in Tim's mind though being a (relatively) early adopter of smartphones makes you a tech guy.

If Count Dankula is anything to go by Raid seems to give a bit more breathing room when it comes to their ads. Like one of his videos just had him review his first Raid blerb as the video ad (in which he explicitly mentions a joke Raid didn't want him saying). VPNs seem a lot more strict since their main appeal (being anonymous online) is an outright lie while their secondary use (accessing region locked content) has somewhat dubious legality.

Raid tends to hire a lot of firms for marketing, so normally the people who approach someone for the advert range heavily, though they do have their own in house PR people who do interviews with content creators specifically for Raid, sort of how Blizzard did with WoW. Though I think Raid has gotten very lenient with their adverts as Internet Historian and others have drastically unconventional ads that are fun, IH also did some for Nord VPN in the same style.

My guess is Tim just reads the thing sent to him verbatim and moves on. I remember he was pitching some solar battery bank with a built in flashlight, which is a neat idea, but then superchats were telling him all the bullshit they were running into when trying to buy and he basically said he hadn't looked into it that much but would, next day he did the same ad read. Also a lot of his product ad reads tend to be on the more crappy side like those food buckets which are awful.

I haven't, but looking it up it seems only slightly more expensive than similar brands though I'm not sure if there's a substantial difference between collagen protein and collagen peptide powders as the protein version seems much more expensive across the board. The reviews seem mostly positive with the negative ones just being mild "not for me" type of thing. The majority of the marketing seems to be towards women though as it's labeled as good for hair and nails.

The only positive I've heard of that collagen is that it doesn't clunk up like most others, which if it does what other brands do would make the price hike potentially worth it.

Funny you mention that, the one review that stuck out to me was on that mentioned it does clump and the recommend using a container with one of those metal balls in it that help mix things:

I've never had an issue of clumping with protein powders, so I don't know if this is a bigger problem with collagen or not, but I'd guess it's one that's easy to solve. The price range on these products is massive depending on the brand, with the Bio Trust one being about 50$ while there are ones for 25$ or so on the market, though there are also plenty in that for 40$ range for about the same quantity which makes it muddled in terms of whether it's overpriced or not. Bio Trust does also offer discounts for bulk buying, going as low as 31$ a bag for 6+ bags which I guess is something.

Maybe I'll try some collagen at some point, but I'll probably go with a less expensive option to see if I like it.

iirc he later clarifed that by "hacker" he didn't mean code hacking but like "people" hacking ie just getting them to admit personal information. He 100% used hacker to make himself sound more cool

The clincher on the NAs vs Blacks stats comparison, and this one is always great, is that some shitbag will inevitably say, "but NAs have tribal law and their own jurisdictions, so the stats aren't accurate." Which is not true for serious crimes. Serious crimes that would reach felony status (rape, murder, etc.) on tribal property are investigated by and prosecuted by the federal gov't. So, nope, murders are not being undercounted because of tribal affiliation/law/jurisdiction.

The bigotry of low expectations and catering the gov't welfare state to blacks has been disastrous. You push a bunch of kids though school without caring that they can't read, write and do basic math, then they can't get decent jobs, so they live in the same gov't subsidized ghetto they were born in. No generational wealth accrues because, when the parents die, they have nothing to pass on due to living on disability, food, housing subsidies their entire life, as well as gov't payment schemes/loopholes that disincentivize marriage.

Even if you assume that the people doing this are doing so with good intentions, all it takes is looking beyond the immediate to see the disastrous impact this has on the black community. I'm kind of surprised no one has mentioned Tim's newfound and burgeoning obsession with Vanguard and BlackRock. Tim seems to think than Vanguard is some kind of corporation that buys up shares to control other corporations for the wealthy elite to enable their evil cabal. The reality is much more mundane: Vanguard is the world's largest mutual fund manager and has millions of accounts that are personal 401ks and corporate pension plans. They're a publicly traded company with a board and shareholders.

Basically, Vanguard is buying Twitter shares because they anticipate the stock increasing, not because they want their board and shareholders to approve measures for the Twitter shareholders and board to consider and enact to combat Elon Musk.

BlackRock is in a similar position, except they don't do mutual funds, they do more generalized investment management and advising. They're also publicly traded with a board and shareholders.

I understand and agree with the concerns over companies like BlackRock using ESG to drive investment strategy, but the way in which Tim portrays these fund managers is like Kamala Harris explaining the war in Ukraine - it's dumbed down to the lowest possible point, thus allowing pants-on-head retarded takes to sound reasonable and logically consistent.
