Shit like this makes me wonder how many redditors subconsciously have higher states of awareness around blacks and if they feel bad about it. None of them would admit it I'm sure but it still makes me wonder.
I'm sure most of them do.
The ones who genuinely don't are those who have literally never been around blacks for any amount of time (at all). They've only ever seen videos posted by racists (and dismissed the misbehavior as "people of a different culture just having fun") and seen reports by the media that reinforce the "he a gud boy who dindu nuffin' when that racist white po-leece shot him" narrative, and believe it completely. They've lived very sheltered lives, have never left their comfort/safety bubble or been to a bad neighborhood. That type has likely never once used public transportation of any kind or been in any kind of situation that wasn't carefully controlled (directly or indirectly) to ensure their comfort or safety. They've simply never been exposed to the reality of group black behavior and have never thought hard enough to connect those dots -- "say, I've never actually *been* around many blacks, I wonder why not..."
Everyone else in that performative cult has a very conscious higher state of awareness around blacks because they've encountered them before and thus have good reason to be more guarded. And that creates an intensely uncomfortable cognitive dissonance that tends to manifest as self-hatred. "Black lives matter, and being racist is bad and such and people who are racist are bad and deserve death, also it's not safe to go past 4th street after dark because all the black people there will mug and rape you, and it's way safer to stay in the white neighborhoods. But that's racist! But I don't want to be mugged, raped or killed. Time to shit on whitey to make myself feel better. Hey mom, when are they coming by to finish putting bars up on the windows?"
As an example, it always cracks me up that any person who's ever used the DC Metro can honestly cry about racism with a straight face. The entire system is crawling with fare-dodging blacks who openly beg for money (not busking, just straight up approaching every person on the train or platform to ask for cash), pickpocket, steal, mug and worse. They're not picky about their targets either, and will happily rob one of their own if that's the opportunity that arises. I once saw a scrawny black guy just literally rip an ipad out of a black woman's hands while she was using it, and bolt out of the train, race up the stairs, hop the turnstiles and vanish into the city. She was upset of course, but nobody even bothered chasing him.
Like ... how can you live and work there (especially in politics) and still scold people about being cautious around blacks and calling them "racist" when you literally have to be careful around them in your daily life because
they actively want to fuck with you and don't care who knows it?
