I still had to rate your post Islamic due to the aesthetic videos. The whole concept seems more like cosplay to me, though instead of trying to portray a specific character from a work, these girls (most aesthetics seem to be exclusively aimed at girls), they try to get the "vibe" (another 21st century buzzword) of that work/genre/time period/social stratum... etc. across. It's definitely not a personality. If fashion is an expression of personality, then it is more like a guy wearing flight jackets because he loves aviation, or a biker wearing a motorcycle jacket, or
an incel wearing a trilby.
