What a suprise. Not.

I will never understand why anyone joins these shithole companies. It can't be for popularity because nobody even watches them.

Good. The only people that watch holostars are fags and women and neither should be happy. Hopefully it finally fails and we can go back to all female holo.

The collab is a few hours afterwards. I don't recall any Holomems playing this before, so maybe Kiara went through the list of permitted games herself.
Ina and Anya played it together before, it was her first out-of-branch collabs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z68mgDScDqI . They did 3 streams and iirc finished the game. But the ping was horrendous and they really struggled to do puzzles that needed good coordination
and Ina has a playthrough of solo mode https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pcwy94hlh74

This clipper has a pro-Stars agenda, which is fine, but clipping this doesn't help anyone. The vast majority of overseas Hololive fans only give lip service about wanting inter-branch interactions and won't help the Stars grow. The clipper already know this. So if he clips it he's either doing it out of a misplaced sense of frustration or he just wants clicks.

It won't make the Stars more popular. No amount of interaction will turn Hololive's fanbase into male VTuber lovers. Most of Hololive's fanbase prefers that they don't interact with men whether they want to admit it or not. Anyone who isn't in denial knows why the two branches don't collab.

Stars need to incline on their own. Clippable stuff that attracts new viewers outside of the Holo bubble like Astel's Mad Maggie shenanigans helps. This garbage doesn't.

Laplus just turned drinking age. Even if she wanted to fight this fight, which she doesn't, she's one of the last Holos that should be doing it. (And joking about gachikois doesn't make it any less true. The reason jokes are funny is because they have some truth to them.)

Furthermore, while no Holos are struggling--even the runts have it nice--most channels are stagnant. Many Holos are understandably worried about losing viewers. Collabing regularly with men is one of the best ways for a Hololive member to immediately bleed off a decent chunk of their viewership to another Hololive member that will cater to them. Plus, Laplus and Chloe in particular have had a steep decline since their explosive debuts and while it is natural that won't make them feel any better about it.

Indeed. I was posting mostly to show that the sentiment persists, as this thread in particular also has a lot of Hopium in reserves for StarsEN being a seamless fit next to HoloEN and that the general desire from Western fans to see the walls broken is not strong enough to shift feelings on domestic audiences.

I used his comment as I don't see Holo clips on my feed much anymore — certainly not from JP clippers — so this was my first and only exposure to La+ mentioning it.

They've certainly already reached their ceiling. Worth noting that 'Decline' and 'Failure' are not the same thing just in case someone conflates the two, but Hololive members after Myth never have a better month than their first. There's no one left to mass appeal to so the average viewers they get after the first couple of months is all the momentum they have left to them. Maintaining that without rocking the boat is in their best interests.

The stress of trying to hold on to all that limelight whilst other companies bite at them is no joke.

What the hell is this bizarro world I see people live in? Why is it either "Hololive and Stars should break down the barriers and fully integrate" or "They never interact ever because they are idols"? News flash to anyone that wants to comment on this further, neither of these ideas are based in reality. People collab and talk to whoever they want to collab and talk with. Some members decide to go full on with the no males thing, and others don't care and will go with whoever. Do not pretend that just because there are people that don't immediately want to honor kill their oshi for collabing with a guy, that they want some full deconstruction of 'idol culture' or whatever. Most people are into Hololive because it is a different experience from the norms of streaming, the idol part of it is a big reason why it feels that way, but the reality that some of these people try to claim exists (the one where Holostars is completely walled off and inaccessible) is a fiction, and has been for years now. This doesn't even consider the Holostars side, where there are plenty of opportunities for them to collab with the girls, but they also choose not too for various reasons. Wagahai is well within the norms of other Hololive members, and she would still be within the norms if she said the opposite.

tl;dr
This Laplus 'thing' isn't a thing at all, and retarded fans live in a delusional reality where Holopro has to either break down walls or raise an iron curtain between girls and boys.
