More Depp trial.

And Depp's on the stand

Taking everything he says as true, he sounds like he had a shitty childhood.

The fact that he's an actor makes me suspicious that appearing trustworthy MEANS anything. Not saying I have any conclusions yet. Just started his testimony at 1.5x speed.
He does seem to be embellishing and using vocabulary most normal joes wouldn't, but I dunno, I don't feel any obvious deception from him. At the very least he's laying groundwork for why he acted the way he did, like not hitting shitty women and no fleeing an abusive relationship.

As with anything though, it'll be cross that makes or breaks him.

I've noticed that the crew is almost silent through Johnny's testimony. That alone shows how good he is at this. I mean, this is all background to make us care about Depp.
Edit: Who is this guy in the suit with the law books. Black Legal Eagle?

Lead Attorney. He first appeared during Edgecomb, I want to say. He seems to mostly follow civil drama like Emily Baker. He covered the Cardi B defamation lawsuit.

He seems cool enough, though maybe too nice. I'm sure Nick will corrupt him.

I remember there was a joke about how to heal an injured finger, and there was a joke about "stick the finger in cider (inside her)." Everyone except him laughed. Then a few minutes later, you could see it click, and was "Oh, that's what it meant. I thought you were taking about apple cider vinegar."
