That's just it. Most of my friends are what would be considered "normal" people and when the topic of politics comes up it usually revolves around the economy because economic policy is what most people tend to experience directly. Maybe if they are feeling adventurous they will engage in a surface-level discussion about foreign policy or immigration, but money tends to be #1.

Culture war shit? Ideology? Philosophy? Feminist lunacy? Forget about it. I have certain friends/circles that keep up with such things but it is small and I only breach those subjects with them.

But the thing is, whenever I talk to my "normal" friends lately, they are the ones who want to talk about "trans shit" with me. They know I pay attention to radical feminism and general troonery and instead of talking about the economy they basically vent about how the culture is going insane and they are some combination of annoyed, angry and tired of it.

I think it is because many of them have kids and like sports. When it comes to normies, two things you don't do fuck with are their kids and their sports. Recent Troon happenings have managed to do both (especially for girls). One of my friends recently returned from a tennis camp with his kids and I could feel him seething with contempt as he told me about a "shredded" 15 year old boy in a tennis skirt who was destroying the girls at the camp.
