"Current year" terms that piss you off

Some people (the gays) have taken to saying human instead of person, it's ironically dehumanizing and every time I see a t-shirt telling me to "Be A Good Human" I immediately hate whoever is wearing it.
I hate that too. It reminds me of the Mark Zuckerberg is a robot or lizardman meme cos it's so unnatural.

The problem is that these and others have been turned from talking points into punchlines, so they're like minefields planted in a topic. If you try to thoroughly discuss the related topic and even so much as hint at the existence of a Funny Phrase you're a zoomer or other deranged personage and the conversation is no longer serious. Some say this is done on purpose to sabotage thought and discussion, others that it has to do with the humoring of society (see: Clown World). I think both are correct. Either way it shows that words and humor are powerful.

Gay frogs
Funny thing about the gay frogs is that it was actually true. After Dr. Tyrone Hayes published a study about the harmful effects of the pesticide Atrazine on the reproductive cycle and gender of frogs, there was a massive public smear campaign funded by the pesticide companies and he was effectively blacklisted by the scientific community. Now, studies on Atrazine are a taboo despite there being some evidence that it's harmful to humans as well.

But, if you try to bring any of that up you just get hit with "lmao turning the friggin' frogs gay! XD"

Even if the frogs are gay, who cares?

Frogs are a massive contributor to ecological balance. Without them, expect bugs to go insane for several years, more than they already do in some areas. While the research performed on chemicals that flipped the sex of a specific species of frog is a limited test, frogs in general are heavily susceptible to anything in the water table that is not natural to them. There are already areas where mass frog dieoffs have been seen. You should care because the collapse of this part of ecology leads to the collapse of many other parts.

It's dumber than that. 'B' stands for "black," 'I' stands for "indigenous," while the POC stands for "person of colour" as you know. So the 'B' is just there for blacks to be extra special, same for the 'I' at least in an American context.

BIPOC exists to rank the struggles of indigenous Americans and black people over other non-white groups. This is because of successful ethnic minorities who challenge narrative that these people cannot do anything.

You forgot the secret "doghwistles" that so called Nazi's like to use. Use the term Jerry can because thats the country you grew up in that says that...and you are trying to dogwhistle...No motherfucker I am saying I need gas in a portable storage container.

"Yikes" - Way to out yourself as either Gen Z or a reddit/Twitter fag.
"Kino" - I do not understand what anyone is saying if they use this term. What is this supposed to mean? Did it come from filmfags? Are those who use the term also filmfags? No?
"CIS-gender" - It sounds like "cyst" and the people who came up with it are filled with them.
"Y'all," "Folks" - Not Southern? Shouldn't be using it.
"Sweetie" - Very condensending, used by wine aunts & lonely cat ladies
"Thoughts and Prayers" - Prayers are helpful, thinking about someone does not.

I’m sure someone said it already, but “neurodivergent” is annoying
Like, you stupid nigger, everyone thinks differently. All brains function differently. You’re just depressed and don’t have a dad you retard
That word is the reason I don't use autism-related sites (that are not KF :story:).
Just fucking suck it up and use "normal" instead of "neurotypical", and don't make the disorder(s) you have your personality.

I have nothing against "kino", maybe because I never seen it used outside of 4chan. Otherwise I pretty much fucking agree, especially with "yikes".

It might have happened a while ago (but I'm just now seeing it a lot online) but those personality tests from that '16 personalities' site annoy me because its treated like a zodiac sign. I don't mind people taking it to find out what they're results are, but when I see people latch onto it and place it on their bio it just makes them come off as someone who does things for the sake of being trendy or has to have someone else tell them who they are, or both.

I've mentioned it before, but "cringe". Used to usually mean a physical reaction, and it wasn't used as much.

In Current Year, it's overused and seems to be yet another way of saying "what I don't like" or "wrongthink".

(also one does not always instantly win an argument by calling the opposing view "cringe")

"Scientist"

Getting real sick of people calling themselves "scientists" for taking the vax and wearing the muzzle because the TV told them to.

Or for believing in child transing, pronouns, and troonery in general.

Or for doing whatever vaguely scientific-sounding thing the media pushes, that they aren't allowed to question.

I'm pretty sure it has its roots in filmfag channers. I think it's like porn, you know it when you see it. See:

The whole scene, but especially Jerusalem, with the True Cross, appearing from the horizon.
