General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I thought the Nijis would make a more impressive statue of their lord, since there's so many of 'em.

Eh. They had to get the materials from scratch and it was only meant to be a short single stream thing. It was less about the statue and more about seeing the four branches together on such a large scale for the first time anyway.

I personally enjoyed seeing EN hanging out with some of the rarer JPs like Kyoko, Levi, and Eli. It also gave former KR/ID members some exposure to the Japanese fans. An overall very positive experience.

As a project manager, lol.
This, too.

Also, I just want to reiterate that I cannot fucking believe Lauren survived that ordeal.

With each week I was more and more resigned to him ultimately announcing the termination of his contract; but to go to the JAV distributors and admit he pirated their shit so that he could serve his time and clear the air ASAP is surprising to me. I'm sure he gambled on how seriously they'd take it and his forwardness earned enough respect to get a slap on the wrist but nothing more.

Welcome back you nipple loving lunatic.

Call me late if its already pointed out, but its telling that Rushia didnt initially do anything particularly wrong beside having split second DMs shown, and being targeted by fujos, but then fucked all her chances of recovering in record time, while the guy who did a very geniune and serious fuck up (piracy in Japan), was able to coast by and handle his spaghetti enough to not only get away unscathed (suspension and cancellation of his collab bits aside), but also have very light hearted and humourous jabs at his event

Him rolling with the punches and manning up probably saved the nigga from being hyper-jannied for muh piracy

Just another Wednesday in Risu's chat :story:

The silver lining to the Lauren story is now Noraneko doesn't have the most embarrassing nipple based happening in nipplesanji

She will want her throne back before long.

Even his ability to take it on the chin shouldn't take away from the fact that, by virtue of precedent, Lauren still being here is borderline unthinkable.

Kusunoki Sio did not survive her NOTE history revealing that she was allegedly shit-talking people she was collaborating with as it was happening. Hitomi Chris did not survive what basically amounted to alleged extortion. Rushia didn't survive an inquiry into her history with Mafumafu.

Many people have, by one means or another, been accused of much less and not be able to maintain their post. Some V-Tubers are in the midst of legal action for bullying, but the guy who committed piracy in front of like 20K people got away with it because he had enough initiative to go to the production firm and deal with it before news reached them and they took action.

I personally do not understand the corporate CEO worship shit so it really doesn't matter to me. The interactions between JP/ID/KR/EN was the main event. Especially seeing the JP server through EN eyes.

I know I'm adding fuel to the Anti-Niji fire saying this; I kinda forgot about Levi and this stream reminded me that she's pretty great. Good laugh, Great design, also apparently speaks decent english? Unless I was hearing the completely wrong person in her team.
I still am disappointed they didn't make a giant blunt.
Hey now. We here at Nijisanji are nipple torture porn pirates, not Yakuza Weed dealers.
If I had a nickel for every time something related to nipples happened at Nijisanji, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
I honestly misread Nickle for Nipple initally reading this.

She's okay at pronouncing the English she knows but the only JP members that can speak any degree of English are Oliver (fluent), Hoshikawa Sara, Nagao Kei, Sukoya Kana and Yumeoi (conversational), and MAYBE if you want to include people who are sharp enough to pick up on the basics through passion you could put Lain Paterson, Lauren Iroas, Yotsuha Umise and Inui Toko on there.

Levi has, however, started doing ASMR streams; and it's mostly her talking with gentle sounds and not the invasive ear fingering shit that makes my skin crawl (or if it is I'm usually asleep at that point).

I am liking this girl more and more.
Regarding IRyS. Bae talked about her friendship with her in her recent interview with crunchyroll. It was very sweet:

I’d be remiss not to ask this since I’m a big fan of both of you. Your relationship with IRyS has become a fan favorite and there’s an incredibly fun dynamic between the two of you. Along with the marriage, to divorce, to having Mio try and fix things. What’s it been like to have this easy dynamic with her and how quickly it became something fans latched onto?

Baelz:
I will be completely honest; I don’t think neither I nor IRyS thought that our dynamic would blow up to this point. Personally, I find it hilarious. Now I don’t say this often but since this is an interview, I gotta stay truthful. I love IRyS and respect her so much as a streamer. I just feel like we have a similar sense of humor and we vibe on the same wavelength which is why I felt like it was really easy to interact with her. Not to mention that IRyS is such a nice and outgoing person, we just kind of hit it off. I will say that fans can gauge how two people interact on stream and I would like to think that the big reason that fans like our dynamic is because it's genuine XD. We hang out off-stream, watch things together off-stream, and we have developed a beautiful friendship off stream as well that I wouldn’t trade for the world (✿◠ᴗ◠).

She also mentioned wanting to host a collab where HoloStars, ID, EN and JP are all involved. I think it's possible if she just aims to get a small group from each branch. JP has Choco, Fubuki, Matsuri, Roboco, Towa and Suisei that would be fine collabing with the Stars. I think in EN she can get Calli and Mumei. Maybe Ina and Sana too. Everyone in ID is fine collabing with Stars.

I was thinking about Botan's 3rd Fes performance earlier, my personal favorite.

It's interesting because Botan's performance was top-tier, but she's not really known for her singing or her dancing. Actually calling it a "dance" is a little misleading; she didn't really hop and prance around like the great dancers did (Korone, Kiara, etc). She was sort of... balletic?... in her motions; I don't really have the words for it.

The thing is, even though she didn't move around a whole lot, her movements all seemed very deliberate. You get the feeling watching it that every movement, every look, every gesture no matter how small was carefully chosen for maximum effect. The music and some evocative camera angles contributed to this too.

A lot of this also applies to Ina's performance, but while Ina's had what I'd call an "angelic" quality, Botan's had a quality that is more difficult to describe. A sort of intensity, it conveyed a sense of deep focus.

So yeah, if you haven't seen Botan's 3rd fes performance, do yourself a big favor and find it. It's something.

On another note, some folks have said that Pippa sang really well for some of the songs in her last karaoke. I missed it, are there any clips of the good songs out there? I know @Godzilla1984 made the entire stream available, but I always have trouble downloading those because of their size and I'm mainly interesting in maybe adding her good songs to my playlist.
