Diseased Neo-Pagans / Witches on the Internet / Witchblr - SMT IRL, but with fatties

Esoterics in general are a very interesting crowd.
I have heard of "esoteric Christians" before. I don't know too much about it, but I have witnessed one slapfightng with a bunch of Seventh Day Adventists in the chat section of a YouTube video once.
Check out the comments. I'll wait here.

I've never looked at this thread but I've looked at pagan nonsense for a while and I can see patterns before they start.

When Marvel came out with Loki, a bunch of teenagers started worshipping the god Loki. There was also an entire thing with godspouses where basically they said they were married to him. This also led to people saying they were fucking Loki in the astral plane.

So here's the thing: a new Marvel series has come out and there is an Egyptian god named Khonsu. He is a moon god. I can immediately predict that people will start worshipping him on Tiktok. There will probably be godspouse nonsense again. People faking DID will also try to say they worship Khonsu because the superhero has DID.
I swear to god, it's like poetry. You always can hear the meter of good poetry and know what's word is going to go with the rhyme. It's already happening.

We're gonna be in big trouble when these people figure out how to look up pantheons themselves instead of going with what is popular or in a movie/tv show.

I feel like these are the same people that those evangelicals were targeting when the Passion of Christ movie came out. There was this trend of Christian communities trying to convert people right after the movie ended in the theatre

I hope they do honestly. It'll be really funny when they start to try to out special each other by worshipping the most obscure deity. Especially when they can't find any actual information on them on the internet.

My wife is Ninkasi, the goddess of beer. On our dates, I worship her by getting blackout drunk.

Yeah, it would be pretty hard to worship and work with a deity who you can't even find any information on. How else would one know what herbs and other earthy items they would need to offer it in order to honor it properly?

This but unironically, and it's obvious that these people lack the ability to do any actual research beyond basic search engine results and wikis.
