I decided to check Shadow's Twitter (archived somewhere on this site already) for the first time in a couple weeks and @candleman is right, she's been pretty quiet. Mostly just retweeting when she does post.

I did notice a cow crossover with Lou Gagliardi/Acekatt, who is an e beggar with an insanely huge thread. I highly recommend reading at least the OP. That is easily one of my favorite OPs on this entire website. It's a fantastic intro to the Louverse. Long as fuck but very comprehensive.

(BTW, it shouldn't be surprising that Lou doesn't just order a pizza when he gets pizza. He is literally over 500 pounds and easily polishes off over a dozen wings and a large pizza in one sitting.)

I've seen brief Tygerwulfe digressions in multiple threads here. (Lou Gagliardi and Kevin Gibes, off the top of my head.) Every time, it's just fresh amazement.

I wouldn't even co-sign anything for my brother and I love him a whole bunch. I would honestly give a complete stranger their security deposit before I linked my credit to theirs. And, as I've already said, I don't give money to people online.

But you just know there are people that are retarded enough to do this kind of thing. They absolutely deserve the hit on their credit score when the scammer screws them over.

They can sue the person they let take them for a ride and they'd probably win, but in a lot of states the average person is what you call "judgment proof". Let's us Texas as an example, since I live here.

If you get a judgment against someone you can seize certain parts of their property to pay off their judgment, because you can't garnish their wages. You can't seize their primary residence, their car(s) - up to one car per adult in the residence, additional cars can be seized, any tools of trade - so if they have two people in the house, two cars and one truck, but the truck is used for a roofing business, guess what? They keep all three cars (I think), and a whole bunch of other exceptions. You're basically limited to second houses owned for rental properties, boats, rvs, stuff like that that most people don't have.

If I got sued for any reason I could just not ever pay the judgement and there's nothing anyone can do about it. It goes on record at the courthouse, and if I ever buy a vacation house or something big, and if the plaintiff's lawyer is searching for it, I'll lose the house - but otherwise I can get away with whatever I did. (Not being a piece of shit individual, this is not what I'd do, which also makes it unlikely I will be sued)

There are probably some states where this isn't the case, but even if you can garnish their wages, these people aren't working or their working minimum wage/close to it jobs. Lawsuits are both expensive and draining on a person. You'd probably spend at least a few thousand dollars and at least two to five years just to find out you're never getting your money back.

A very expensive lesson for the "be kind" crowd, and one anyone stupid enough to do this actually deserves IMO.

I watch a lot of shitty daytime judge shows. I learned very quickly to never co sign a loan. I also like watching debt confession, journey, and budgeting vids. At least two of the ones who I watched several videos of were fucked over hard by co signing for relatives or exes.

I barely discovered this thread this morning but lemme say why this phenomenon has me floored and I genuinely cannot relate to the whole “I’m so broke I need to e-beg” attitude by PL’ing/blogposting as I usually do:


instead of going back to college, I chose to get into the “skilled” trades because 1.), I needed money quickly, 2.), I realized that if I knew how to do some of those things, I’d have a relative baseline level of job security. Couple years later and I have a skilled tradesman’s license that’s valid in half a dozen states (and those states reciprocate with other states and so on). I don’t make as much as someone with a bachelors or a masters, but I can undoubtedly and 100% confidently find work in my grade whether I want to live in NYC or Houston or fucking Mechanicsburg. Does my body get a little rougher for wear as a result? Yeah, but I see that as the realistic trade off for making $25-50/hr with benefits and no college degree.

I learned a couple more skills as a result of my time in the trade. I can do asphalt, I can operate a fixed cab boom crane, cherry pickers, and most digging equipment. I also learned how to do concrete, pretty decently. I helped an old teacher of mine from trade school pour a 5’x3’x4” pad for a mini split condenser and I got paid $120 (plus børger and fries) for basically 4-5 hours of work. That’s not a lot considering what my time is usually worth (he’s a good dude, didn’t want him to pour 8 80lb bags alone, I knew nobody else would show up) but if I couldn’t work in the square world anymore for whatever reason, I have skills to capitalize on that I can still hustle with and make some kind of money. I’m at a loss for how much learned helplessness is endemic in all of the individuals on display ITT. I get a lot of them are munchies/spoonies who can’t even walk outside their houses because “I’m literally too sick” but if you’re one of those “rah rah fuck the system us black and brown bodies need to extablish our own economically independent communities away from white capitalism” “don’t need no whitey” types then I would assume a great bedrock foundation for that kind of ethnic breakaway quasi-commie thing would be getting a bunch of little black and brown troublemakers and putting them to work doing shit like that. I’m sure there’s plenty of old black ladies whose houses need work in Chicago or Houston or Philly.

I’m just super grateful I never fell for the “fuck you pay me I don’t need to work, capitalism is raycis” kafkatrap. Do something that nobody wants to do and keep that in your back pocket for when times get hard.

Ultimately I know all this is Because I’m sure munchies and e-beggars who are “LITERALLY too sick and ill” to wipe their asses would never be willing to attempt to work. I’ve never met a munchie IRL and I’m sure it shows.
