In all seriousness, I'm glad for him, if he'd been killed I would have laughed my Azov because the shit he's been doing is retarded, but he's just a harmless old con artist, thats too stupid to shut the fuck up, I don't wish him ill.
This has obviously and understandably shook him, and it would anyone, if he has any sense he'll settle down a bit now.
If he goes right back to talking shit then he's completely fucking stupid, because if he plays this right he's set up for the rest of his life.

EDIT: Ok he's totally fucking stupid lol. It took him less then three hours to find an Internet connection and start shit talking his host again.

I might be wrong, but we will probably see a very muted Gonzalo Lira going forward. 7 days with the Secret police of Ukraine will maybe have altered his perspective on things. According to him they specifically told him to stay where he was. So he is probably being investigated for something. He might be in some sort of house arrest and too afraid of going anywhere or saying anything. And that may be more valuable for them then deporting him given how much attention he have gotten the last week. But that is just speculation I don't know.

Oh yeah, I think there's zero chance he has any activity online until after the war is over. Once that happens he will be all over the place talking about his experiences. I'm actually really curious about the details of what happened to him. Maybe he can even do another gofundme for a book. 'Igor and I: My Week with the SBU'

Looks like the SBU decided he was just a retard not even worth killing after all. Nice knowing there's still some compassion for the mentally feeble on a battlefield.

I admit it does seem a bit... off, but if he's just spent a week eating cockmeat sandwiches at the Kharkiv Hilton with an SBU guy screaming at him every day, he's probably still a bit dazed from the experience.

I admit I did get a "this dude has a rifle pointed at him off screen" vibe myself.
