Fundamentally, out of the gate you can dismiss Nick's liberal-tier criticisms of PPP etc as slandering/defamation enabling a hostile culture (Nick's career built on this) and the doxxing claims (poisoning the well). Therefore, the only thing Nick has to actually lose from PPP etc is legitimacy and ego, which is why Jim's claims of Nick's DMCAs being inseparable from personal resentment is a strong attack.
Nick complains about doxxing and drawing 'arbitrary' ethical lines in 'warfare' yet criticizes Flamenco who has beef with Ralph (his guy) over doxxing. Nick's ability to rationalize ethics around himself (while crying wolf all the way there) as the center is basic machiavellianism, ends justify the means, nihilism, vulgar power theory... the same shit he derides in Turning Point and DC, but probably because he knows presenting-as-such is unpopular. Not to be confused with Nietzscheanism, which would be the Carl Schmittian justification, affirming all ethics as arbitrary with himself as the center. Instead, he's half foot-in, half foot-out, constantly hypocritical, constantly defending hypocrisy, blaming others for reacting rather than acknowledging himself as starting the fights.
Jim's approach is cynical and it's compellingly cynical because the only dissident actors that could ever come to represent him are the most bad-faith, dishonest people possible. Nick's constant defensiveness towards Jim over his role as comedian was a theme of the entire debate precisely because he knew it's really the most effective way to undermine a person like Nick's moral authority.
Jim basically destroyed Nick. Even though it devolved into limp-dick whataboutism for 80% of it, I think people will underappreciate and miss how many devastating little rhetorical jabs Jim got in on Nick (Nick abandoning the cancer 'you deserve it' line of insults instantly once Jim mentioned Nick's mom and Nick quickly pivoted, Jim recalling the Nickian origins of the dumper pumper jokes and Nick quickly changing the subject, etc). The only thing Jim missed out on was pushing these specific things further and getting admissions out of Nick, who kept making admissions like a retard throughout that'll hurt him later. Jim forced Nick to attack Flamenco and Ralph tonight, calling Ralph ugly and saying him getting beat up in Portugal was funny. Meanwhile, Jim didn't have to defend shit. Objectively it's a W and Ralph has to feel even more ambivalent about worshipping this 23 year old from now on.
I have no idea why he would approve the debate other than to gain traction for his website (he barely gets donations and Cozy's servers have to be expensive, but at this point I think they get money from the feds).
In another world Nick would worship Jim for having far more talent than most of Cozy, but they both ended up on the wrong side of the grift. Good job to Jim though, he definitely did his research.
