Just makes it all the sweeter once they do finally lose. I mean, the reactions to Trump winning 2016 wouldn't have been anywhere near as fun if they didn't think they had it in the bag.
Indeed. "Woman screaming at the sky" shall likely never get old thanks the sheer childish delusion and impotence on display. "THEY TOLD ME IT WAS HER TURN!"

Would you say the establishment took all the wrong lessons from 2016?

For example the secretary of transportation was a married gay man who took maternity leave right when the ports were all backed up.

I have a dem friend who works in urban planning and he summed up the port back log very simply.

1) Shipping containers are 40 feet long,
2) Semi Trailers are 50 feet long. (this is an extra 100sq feet of space
3) The good come off the ships and need to be unpacked and repacked at transloading facilities.
4) The trans loading facilities are not near the port but insteak on the other fucking side of LA county (because land was cheap there
5) The transloading facilities do not run 24/7
6) The truckers who move shit from the port to the transloading facilities are basically independent forgieners driving shitty almost broken down trucks, and are paid shit.

So the transportation secretary instead of taking maternity leave could have sat down with the dem run CA legislature and done the following things

1) get the transloading facilities to do a 3rd shift.
2) have truckers pull double trailers at night to feed the transloading facilities
3) have the EPA and Carb do a 3 month emergency suspension emissions standard for said trucks hauling the containers
4) have the media explain the cascade of issues causing this problem.

It would have been a very simple "win" but it would require leadership and I think alot of people in the admin including the VP were chosen to check a box and be weak/easy to control.

Story going around now about Sleepy Joe shaking hands with Gaige Grosskreutz (aka the guy who is now a compulsory left thanks to a round from Kyle Rittenhouse).

And I gotta say, Joe's handlers are either completely stupid or asleep at the switch. Why, why, why would you ever have Joe in any kind of proximity to that fuck? Forget the politics; the optics alone are terrible unless you're one of those paint thinner huffers who's still convinced the prosecution can 'appeal' the Rittenhouse verdict.

Yes, I know, they're stupid, but dear God are they really that stupid?

I mean, the signals are saying they are going to try. The problem is that Rittenhouse not only got off but is a bit of a celebrity now. The beast knows it can be wounded and that revenge won't necessarily come. So outside of strongholds for the Democrats, it won't really be able to function as it once did... and its outside the strongholds that they need to be.

If you really want to: RSBN is having a simul-cast between rumble and Youtube.

They mostly just argue the semantics of using words like "1776" or "we need to fight" with spliced clips cutting out crucial words like "with an objection to the certification" or " with an investigation".

This is the best part. If you want to see more, know it won't get better than this.

I have no fucking idea. I'm assuming judge.
Imagine not knowing that's from a famous poem. I thought at first she just did the same weird misquote as the movie, but nope, they're both just vaguely referencing the poem. I can't.

The military can't and won't ever be "environmentally friendly". The closest thing to environmentally friendly currently fielded by American forces are nuclear powered vessels.
Aside from manpower, what are the fuel sources that power anything on the battlefield?
Gasoline, diesel, and kerosene.
Want to haul troops around? Gas.
Need to move mobility containers? Gas or diesel.
Need to convoy? Gas.
Call in an air strike? Kerosene.
Need to lift a bomb onto a plane? Diesel.

Fuck almost every piece of support equipment runs on diesel, gas, or kerosene. As an example, you need gasoline AND diesel to build bombs.
Good luck operating a MAC II without an MC-7 air compressor. The MAC might be pneumatic, but the MC-7 runs on diesel. All of the forklifts worth a damn in the bomb dump are gas or diesel. The MJ-1 bomb truck is gas or diesel and the MHU-83 is diesel. All of that to make perfectly good bombs that those lousy pilots just throw away.

No way you can electrify that process without spending a fuckton of money. Billions? Try trillions. Every single piece of powered support equipment (compressors, light carts, power carts, heaters, tugs, forklifts, bobtails, jammers, etc.) would need to be changed, the infrastructure updated to accommodate the new electricity demand, and motorpool/AGE personnel retrained on how these newfangled electric things work.

All those F-15s and nukes Clueless Leader said people need to take on Uncle Sam require kerosene to get in the sky, save for the ICBMs which have their own freaky eco-unfriendly shit. Every single aircraft runs on kerosene. ALL OF THEM. Unless you bring up the few P-51s maintained by the Air Force's Heritage Flight (which used to run on LEADED GASOLINE), all military aircraft run on kerosene. Those fancy 5th gen fighters? Kerosene. The oldest operational bombers in the world? Kerosene. The infamous BRRRRRT? Kerosene. The tiltrotor wunderwaffen that the Marines and AF special operators can't shut up about? Kerosene. All kerosene all the time.
Beta Technologies has a working electric aircraft. That's about as much good as I can say about it. It's slow as shit with a pathetic range. I doubt they'll be vying for any Air Force or Navy contracts any time soon.

NOTHING can get done in the military without petroleum derived fuels. NO-THING. Imagine an Army powered by Tesla and an Air Force by Beta Technologies. Nothing would get done. Convoys would take forever and a day (sorry Sarge, can't start the convoy because the humvee is still charging) and force projection would be nothing but a fond memory (sorry sir, this Beta plane can't go beyond 250 nautical miles from base!). Only an idiot would try to force such a change where it didn't need to exist. All the money we blew in the JSF Program? Fuck the taxpayer and the F-35, we need CLIMATE FRIENDLY PLANES.

It gets very tiresome Ridin' with Biden. I want off Mr. Joe's Wild Ride.
It is funny imagining them trying to install electric charging station supply lines on the fly. You could connect them together and make a railroad of some kind.

Sounds like yet another weak point that they'd then need to defend. Imagine fighting goat herders and they realise just fucking with the electrical supplies will make those shiny machines stop.

Do not go gentle into that good night

Dylan Thomas

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

A lot of optimism in this thread. The Afghan withdrawal was supposed to bring the administration down but nobody cared and the media successfully disappeared it by the end of the month. The poll numbers drop and drop but the Dems still do what they want and print more money whenever they feel like it. And when election time comes around everything will be Drumph's fault and the Dems who wavered will suddenly get back in line and the results will be close like they always are.

NPCs have to be programmed, and conservatives don't have permission to access. The country could become third world tomorrow and they'll just vote harder to spite the racist bigot huwhite supremacist Russian spies who caused it.
I would liken it to a death by a thousand cuts rather than a death blow. You still have quite a lot of people in denial about the affairs with their line of reasoning stopping at "at least we didn't elect Trump for a second term". This is in addition to the legacy media running interference for Biden and constantly deluging people with more Covid hysteria and Ukraine updates so that nobody bothers to question Biden's choices (or his son's laptop contents, for that matter).

I'd say that the constant stream of immigrants arriving at the politicians' doorsteps is a more personal way for them to face the consequences of their actions, even if slightly. I'm aware that Capitol police will chase them off in the daytime if they get too close to the important-looking buildings (as with homeless people, because it will hurt tourist outlook), but there's only so much that the locals will tolerate before they will also start demanding something be done about the immigrants in their town. At this point, you have to use the NIMBYs against the politicians because they tend to be the loudest and most annoying of the bunch.
-
For the failure of the withdrawal in Afghanistan, you had some diehard fans blaming Trump (somehow) and reasoning that the lack of preparation was by Trump's doing, despite Biden suddenly getting the idea to move the withdrawal date up by a few months so it would line up with the 9/11 memorial date.

Speaking of which, has anyone heard from the hundreds of US citizens in Afghanistan that the US basically abandoned?

And what the Democrats have handed to the Republicans on a silver platter in a way they can't really fuck up is a ton of reasons to lean away... from the Democrats. Short-term what you will get from this is a lot of people deciding "fuck them both" and just not voting. Long-term.... a lot more newer voters who would have fallen in the Lean-Democrat camp who now consider the Republicans a viable option. The stranglehold on these voting blocs has been severely damaged.
On the subject, something very interesting is taking place in my home state right now with the Democrats. They're technically going to have a candidate in McMullin (a name that should be familiar from 2016!), but... he's an independent. There's not going to be a Democrat candidate for Senator Lee's seat.
CBS7 said:

Utah Democrats back independent as US Senate candidate

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Utah Democrats pulling hard to defeat Republican Sen. Mike Lee took the unusual step Saturday of spurning a party hopeful to instead get behind an independent, former presidential candidate Evan McMullin.
Democrats were swayed by calls from prominent members who said McMullin, a conservative who captured a significant share of the vote in Utah in 2016, was the best chance to beat Lee in the deeply conservative state that hasn’t elected a Democratic U.S. senator for more than 50 years.
“I want to represent you. I’m committed to that. I will maintain my independence,” McMullin told Democratic delegates.
Lee also faced two GOP challengers at his party’s nominating conventions. He handily won in front of the right-leaning crowd with over 70% of the vote. But those candidates will still appear on the primary ballot because they used the state’s other path to the primary ballot and gathered signatures.
Former state lawmaker Becky Edwards garnered about 12% of the vote Saturday. Former gubernatorial deputy chief of staff Ally Isom came in third.
Lee’s relationship with former president Donald Trump has been front and center since CNN reported on text messages showing that the senator was involved in early efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election, though Lee later pivoted and voted to confirm the election results after no widespread fraud emerged.
“I did my job,” Lee said about the messages. “I did my job the way that I’ve always promised I would go about doing my job.”
McMullin is a former CIA officer ran for president in 2016 and made inroads in the deeply conservative state where where many GOP voters had reservations about then-candidate Trump. Lee himself cast a protest vote for McMullin, though he later became as staunch Trump ally, and the former president has endorsed him.
A Democrat ran for the nomination, Kael Weston, but the pro-McMullin camp ultimately convinced party delegates to nominate no one, clearing the path for the independent as much as possible. His supporters included prominent Democrats like former Congressman Ben McAdams.
“I know Evan. I trust Evan,” McAdams told delegates during the contentious debate, framing McMullin as the best possible chance to unseat Lee in a state where Republicans outnumber Democrats 4-to-1.
Republican Party Chair Carson Jorgensen took aim at the Democrats’ decision, arguing it showed a weakness in the other party’s platform. “We as Republicans, now’s our time to shine,” he said. “I don’t know if everyone quite understands the gravity of this.”
Also Saturday, moderate Republican Congressman John Curtis was forced into a primary, coming in second in a crowded field that included a challenger who brought in longtime Trump confidant Roger Stone. The effort didn’t carry candidate Jason Preston beyond the first round of voting, however.
The Democrats have, at this point, conceded that the only way they can win is to promote a Trump spoiler who, while a RINO, is a far cry from being a Democrat. Voters here now cannot vote for a Democrat, whether they lean Democrat or identify as strong Democrats. There is a Democrat trifecta in Washington, and the overton window is still shifting right. Holy shit.

Remember when that furry shot 3 AntiFA in Portland, killing one? No one cared. Everyone is sick of them. People are sick of ruined cities.

...

Yeah, I got nothing.
I just noticed how boomers use twitter, all that mutual masturbation shit and it's starting to make sense why zoomers ran off to tiktok - specially the talentless ones that couldn't figure out filters and went to instagram.

On the bright side tumblrites are too ugly for either, so the cycle SHOULD end here.
Nobody with any serious look thought the Afghan situation wold bring it all down. What it, and every other major crisis, has done is incrementally but significantly damaged both the administration and the Democrats in general.
Also TIL being held in contempt by Parliament, and literally nobody paying attention to any of your sanctions during Ukraine is nothing.

The only reason we're not getting assraped as badly as canada is because we literally pay for everything. Hence the kickbacks these dumb faggots keep trying to sneak through.

Communism won't work because Humanity isn't wired that way. It's the failure point. But I've tried bringing up this point with Communists, but they believe everyone thinks as they do. They seem to be so naive that they believe someone could never pretend to support Communism and then usurp power for themselves. So to me, they're retards.

We live in a world where (rarely mind you) parents will murder their own children for the offense of their child having more money and fame than they ever will. If you need to watch your own back so you own mother doesn't put a (metaphorical) knife (sometimes literal) in it, then how the hell can you trust some rando to not do the same?

I do wonder if they have the manpower to actual bus in enough Antifa to intimidate people at the polls in key red states. Or maybe the hope is they can use the illegals they've flown in to be the new DNC supporters? Or maybe they are hoping for some RINO deal where they refuse Trumps nomination? Or maybe a hail mary pass at getting a fraudulent conviction and using that to bar Trump from running? Or will it all fall in a heap? Who knows?

The problem is not necessarily the manpower. It's the fighting spirit. People like Lefty are meant to be field commanders. The one's riling up the actual disposable foot soldiers like Pedomanlet into a frothing rage and send them out. They still have plenty of commanders (who won't feel too afraid since unless they do something like Lefty did they won't get shot) but the footsoldiers now will be willing to show up but a -lot- harder to get to do serious things.

And if anyone shows up ready to defend I'd expect most shows to end right there.

They have plenty of commanders but they also have plenty of the actual violent thugs. People like Eric Clanton etc. Violent hard core communists that see this as a fight against the capitalist system.
I think they still have all the violent footsoldiers but they were never very many in the first place.

What they have lost is the huge mass of LARPing kids from middle class families that join the protest and act as cover for the violent anarchists. The people that act as a shield and also a blurred mass where the anarchists can blend into and dissapear.
Those people are gone now since LARPing as an anarchist is really just a luxury virtue signal. When things are so good and there are so few worries in your life you can role play as a communist. All these folks now have parents that are no longer talking about the next international vacation but instead how to pay for next months food. Priorities have shifted and doing luxury virtue signalling is no longer top of the list.

So, they still have the commanders and they still have the violent soldiers but they no longer have the 90% of the people that were there just to act as an invisibility cloak.

Honselty that's perfect for campaign ads. Some Republicans should make a video that shows Biden shaking hands with Grosskreutz and than take go on about Grosskreutz shady history.
Sorry Maher were a Republic not a democracy. Someone clearly failed history class.
