The account that posted this (@DoloresParkOog) is nothing but trauma-informed garbage tier takes like this one, including the retweets. I'm almost tempted to start a thread for it, or find a different thread on CW for exactly this type of person. Any suggestions?

I tried to fact-check this and while it is true some flirefly species are endangered, and most share the same sort of threats from light pollution, pesticides, etc, many more of them are Least Concern species. And the endangered ones are probably not beyond saving with conservation programs. Yet he tweets this as if all firefly species are going to be extinct soon (no distinctions made between species) and there's nothing that can be done about it. Fucking eco-doomers are awful.
Besides, it's not as if he'd lift as much as a finger to fight for planet earth. He saves that activist energy for autistically cataloguing trans whamen representation in media.

And when I say trauma-informed, I mean he literally uses "trauma" as a badge of honour.
