I hate trannies, but I really oppose the so-called "don't say gay" law in Florida and I kind of want to vent.
I have a few reasons for opposing it
- I generally oppose the government dictating what schools can and can't teach to their students. Not in all cases, it's necessary for standardization and inaccurate information shouldn't be taught, but that's not the official reason for this law.
- Kids aren't "too young" to learn about gender identity. Gender identity is actually incredibly simple, simpler than spelling or arithmetic. That's part of what makes it so sinister, you don't need to think about it at all. I don't think that they should teach it to 1st graders, but I also don't think that they should teach it to 4th graders or 10th graders or even 100th graders because it's bullshit pseudoscience. If anything this law validates it as a subject for older students when it doesn't belong in schools at all since it's not true.
- This law just gives ammunition to the trannies by conflating sexual orientation with gender identity and also just being a generally clumsy law for them to target in legal courts and the court of public opinion.
Looks like a man to me. I think that non-fat trannies tend to have oversized Adam's Apples for some reason, but there are plenty of men (PL: me) with small Adam's Apples that are barely noticeable under optimal circumstances and can be completely hidden just by sort of swallowing your tongue.
2015 was when online libfemmery was at its peak and I guess their eyes got bigger than their stomachs. They tried to absorb every social justice movement through intersectionality. Racism became a feminist issue, you couldn't be anti-racist without being feminist (anyone else remember when they tried to make black women the focus of BLM even though black women are way, way less likely to be killed by cops than men of any race?). Poverty became a feminist issue, you couldn't focus on poverty or income inequality if you didn't bring up the gender pay gap. Even men's rights became a feminist issue; turns out that feminism wasn't about female rights, if you try to deal with male suicide rates or homelessness without using a feminist framework and loudly paying lipservice to feminism you were basically an incel Nazi.
And then they discovered that it didn't just go one way. These other social justice movements ended up devouring feminism from the inside. Black activists ended up labeling any feminist who didn't put black women's issues first "white feminists". If you didn't put poor women first it was "white feminism". Actually, they basically called any feminism that didn't go far enough up (or down?) the progressive stack "white feminism". But at least these were still putting women (even if it was only some women) first.
The social justice issue that ended up being completely indigestible to feminism was men. It wasn't just that men who didn't pay lipservice to feminism were demonized, but the real incel Nazis could avoid being demonized by tweeting #YesAllMen. On some level even the feminists couldn't deny that these male feminists were cynically using feminism to get away with being creeps, but ultimately they just let these creeps into the movement. At that point the movement basically got skinned and worn by narcissists (male and female) to justify whatever bullshit they want to do and most people just aren't paying enough attention to notice.
