I normally thought of traps and transpeople being polar opposites in the sense that the former absolutely relish in being misgendered, whereas the latter sperg out whenever they are "mis"gendered.

In some ways, they are polar opposites.

However, the word "trap" refers to those who dress themselves up as women in order to entrap straight men and lesbians. Just like troons do.

"Femboy" emphasizes the fact that they aren't women or girls, just effeminite men or soyboys. Or men pretending to be women. Which troons themselves are.

Which is why it offends them.
