General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Yuribating holo members aren't the most popular either, so the argument that yuri/fujobaiting is how to get easy views is pretty far away from reality. Kiara is dead last in her own gen, hurting both her and Calli collab streams because the fanbase would always go rabid whenever they did it with someone else, begging them to stream together every day and having mental breakdowns whenever they don't collab for a week. I wouldn't say Flare/Noel are a bait, at the very least their content didn't focus on their relationships, but Flare was also one of the lowest subbed members for a while. Choco/Mel aren't exactly most popular either, though it's mostly owning to YT being on a mission to kill their channels back then. I don't really get where the whole "female members get easily popular from yuribait so don't blame guys for doing the same if it works" even comes from
different topic - does putting your new gen song as an ad on videos of another company count as botting? Because I sure as hell had no interest on ever checking it out but it would be served even on the clips

Now that one anon has shown how easy and cheap it is to do, I think you'll probably start seeing a lot more of it so people have an excuse to ramble somewhere in the depths of 4ch with their chronic MPD.

It took literally 1 person to bot that Millie stream. Holo and Niji just might become a warzone of schizos botting each other's members to point the finger, and it'll be retarded.
What's currently keeping people from doing it more is because of how obvious it is with the websites their using to track it not to mention it might accidentally get someone's channel terminated.

As of right now no one has come up front about botting Vox on /vt/ like they did with Millie so everyone is currently pointing fingers at any possible suspect.

MikeNeko also reached 800k, with her debut stream almost reaching 1 million views. I wasn't there when she streamed, but what was the peak concurrent viewers?
Usually it's somewhere around 6%-10% of the total views equal to peak concurrent.

Looking at some of the Vox "birthday" gifts from the fans and some of these are pretty cool to be honest. The billboards feel a bit overdone and somewhat uninspired but naming a monkey like him and the actual music video is pretty cool. Yes the music video is extremely cringe but at the same time I can appreciate the effort and dedication that went into it. The girls went all out with the makeup and dressing up and the instrumentals are not half bad. Few Nigerian Fiverr posts singing happy birthday also (something about those crack me up).

The peak that I saw was around 60k.

Rurudo, Towa's mama, made a non-chibi live 2d model and did a short redebut. She streamed a few times months ago but wants to do it more regulary now (once every week/two weeks).
She is good friends with Marine and called in/collabed with her a few times, the clips of their interactions are great.

Roberu, Temma and Izuru talk about the idea of marriage. Temma would like to have 3 kids in order to contribute to Japanese society.

From an older moment that was clipped recently (I really dislike this phenomenon), Oga seems to be taking the Watson way when it comes to sharing the artist with other vtubers. He considers Onshi his master, and everyone else fellow apprentices. So, no family.

Fuma gives advise about future planning.

Yuribating holo members aren't the most popular either,
Okayu x Korone, Miko x Suisei, Aqua x Okayu x Shion, Mumei x Kronii, IRyS x Bae, Marine x Rushia, Subaru x Luna, Shishiron x Lamy

I don't think any of these girls are considered the least popular or less popular. Maybe Luna. The least popular would be Mel x Choco, Matsuri x whoever and to some degree Haachama x Watame because they were still starting when they started their ship. Some work and even are profitable like Okayu x Korone who has done 3D concerts as a pair. I think Miko x Suisei and Shishiron x Lamy even did paid Vark concerts as pairs.

Last edit: Marine x Ayame is the funniest ship to me.

Marine/Rushia flew right out of the window in less than a month after their debut. They were only using it for memes and lols later because neither actually wanted to get the bait part going. Miko/Suisei literally went to lengths to explain they haven't even talked to each other before that much and it's just buiseness partnership that management suggested and after hanging out together for projects for long time they grew to being friends. The rest also on multiple occasions made it blatantly clear they are just friends and there is nothing going on. Okayu is a lady killer though, she isn't baiting anyone, she actually likes making everyone around her blush and flustered. Because she is chubby, not particularly attractive and used to hate her voice back then. So she relishes in interactions where others find her appealing. If you count any pair of girls being friendly to each other and doing things together as "yuribaiting" that's on you, not on them
Also neither of them got popular because of what you perceive as yuribating, which was the point of conversation. Korone is retro games marathoner, Okayu and Suisei are singers, Miko is genuinely funny, Subaru and Lamy do zatsudans, Lamy is calm fps gamer. Mumei is fucked up in the head and Kronii is narcisstic dork. Neither of them portray their "relationships" as real and don't turn it into content like takamori for example

Link for which one? Millie's is currently archived now but I have an image of her botted stream metrics. If your talking Vox visit the /#/ thread and the previous one earlier today. You can also check out some of the catalog with Vox posts.
Yeah, I was referring to the Vox one. Reading the threads now, and I'm genuinely surprised he only had 23k peak CCV for the birthday stream. Considering how some Nijifag paraded his 53K Unarchived Karaoke CCV, you would think he would have better numbers for his first birthday stream, especially with all the brouhaha about the billboards and such

I'm not saying that Yuribaiting makes people popular but you seem to imply that it's something that people do because they are unpopular or because they want to grow their audience. More often than not it's just for kayfabe. Also, Yuri baiting isn't just overt flirting. Maybe you got that impression from watching Takamori. Yuri baiting can just be a pair of people being sweet in front of people and casually or jokingly calling the other person as their waifu. They don't have to sexually harass the other girl or say dumb shit about how thirsty they are for the other person. More often than not, the best Yuri Bait in holos are 1. the ones that are either both stunderes for each other or have one that is studendere but not a jerk like Subaru 2. Are not pretending to be a real couple. Nobody unless you are retarded actually thinks any of these girls are lesbos for each other. It's just Yuri for the content. All your justifications are just reasons why you think they aren't dating offline so they aren't yuri baiting. Nobody actually cares about that and as if it changes the yuri baiting that you see in their streams. Yuri bait is pretty much fan service content that you see live and a lot of these girls have done that.

Vox and Luxiem in general have very specific streams that do absolute gang busters in terms of CCV but outside those specific streams they tend to get more tame numbers (even if their CCV looks strange at certain points).

Another factor is just celebration fatigue. Over the past month just take a look at the sheer amount of celebrations NijiEN had in general. People get tired and start to not tune in because partying for a month straight isn't exactly sustainable.
