If Musk starts a war against Twitter bots, it will become a very interesting place to pay attention for people who care about dead internet theory, manipulation of public opinion, bots for advertisements, and everything else along that track.

I'm convinced Twitter can already detect these bots with reasonable accuracy and if not Elon could get the talent to make it happen. There are active media and tech efforts to undermine and smear alt-tech. They simply have too much control of the market and infrastructure, they will ensure it remains niche at best until they get control of it.
