𝕏 / Twitter / X, the Social Media Platform Formerly Known as Twitter / "MUSK OWNS TWITTER"

Count me in the camp of being somewhat pessimistic that things will change. I've been burned far too many times by shit like this to believe that it will lead to any lasting positive change.

I do have a bit of a bone to pick with various political factions over their reactions to this though.

With the left/neoliberals, I'm amused to see them do a total 180 over their whole "muh private company" argument. Just goes to show how that was nothing more than a bit of tactical libertarianism to own the conservatives. As for that camp, their whole argument about the government needing to step in for trustbusting/regulations purposes due to these tech companies growing too powerful just deflated before their very eyes. In the end, they didn't need government to achieve an outcome favorable to them, just a rich asshole with a bone to pick. They're both being made to look like fools, and I'm here to pick up my tab.

One of the fist things I see upon opening Twitter-

If Trump gets unbanned I'll eat an entire pack of pencils and post it on youtube
Be careful. We call that pulling a TechPriest.
The progs are seething; saying Elon is a greedy pig for spending $44 bill on their platform.
What is it with commie-adjacents and other people's money?
They think power is only effectively wielded by individual strongman figures. It's essentially central planning, when you think about it! (Also, #capeshitlogic.)

Literally who fucking cares. It's Twitter. It's already a fucking cesspit that probably couldn't possibly get any worse. At least it'll be funny for a little while. Best case scenario the entire service gets shut down.

Twitter niggers should self immolate.
I was banned after ten years on that platform during the beginning of the wokeness phase of those pricks purging anyone that had no filters or an opposing opinion to the PC crap. Twatter can rot in the furthest negative zone the internet can offer. My comments are aimed at the Elon dick smokers thinking he will do anything to make it a better place so, I'm not defending Twitter AT ALL, but I'm also not blindly believing that this is some kind of turning point. I sincerely hope the entire service goes belly up, though.

New boss, same as the old boss with probably less chuckles. Well, maybe a few chuckles, but for the wrong reasons.
