People are starting to notice. I've mentioned before that I've seen a lot of fb meme posting groups turning into TERF central, but I'm starting to notice it in real life too.
Over the past 2 weeks, I've had 5 people bring up the topic of trans people to me. The opinion was essentially rhe same, that they're down with people doing whatever they want and being whoever they want...but the main sentiment was that it has gone too far.
These people are the most chill "live and let live" dudes you'll ever meet, and they don't pay much attention to the media. But even they've noticed men trying to take over women's spaces and push shit on children, so much so that they're taking the risk of being "cancelled" (ie: fired, to us normal folk who dont spend every waking moment online) to vent about it
There is absolutely a shift in mentality and acceptance rising, and it has nothing to do with terfs or homophobes. It's all of the transgender communities own doing.
It's interesting seeing a group fight for acceptance, achieve it to a decent degree and then obliterate it by making more and more outrageous demands
