The Ukrainian Nazis are operating under the assumptions they are nationalists due to the driving out of the Soviets thanks to Maduro. But at the same time the Russians are acting upon them as if their opponents are similar to the Nazis that attacked them in WW2. Both have legitimate grievances. But both motivations are both being used as political tools towards the public and military to achieve geopolitical objectives.

I don't know how to explain it any more simply.
