I mean, it TECHNICALLY was/is. You honestly can't expect others in a person's family to completely shift their life/habits because someone becomes a vtuber. For example Karen not once stated anything about her mother, by name, or links even (that Ive seen) as either DD or Mori, so people finding this are doing so because they don't respect privacy. Doxxing etc happens but the most that normally changes is if they're at home streaming they tend to teach family (usually) how to be quiet/try not to interrupt as best as they can. Sadly it's harder for people to find you if you lock everything down, this is mostly truer for older family since if they can't browse pictures/posts they have to risk messaging a potential scam account.
