This is from the CSAM lawsuit that reddit currently has pending against it.

If that link doesn't work, it's Jane Doe v Reddit, Inc. There's more juicy admins-are-pedo-enablers stuff in that section.

The case is currently being appealed after it was dismissed last fall under Section 230. It's hard to see how the dismissal stands given the explicit exceptions for CSAM.

Considering the absolute clarity of 1595, does it strike anyone else as deeply sus what the District Court did?

Does anyone know of a way I can indelibly print or otherwise persistently conserve a screenshot vis a vis the Georgia Guidestones or that disk thingy we lobbed into space? While we certainly deserve the smiting that I am now convinced is inevitable, the future beings that reconstitute our organic matter deserve the chance at decoding a warning (same for aliens).
Engraving in a gold-alloy plaque so it doesn't rust?
Boron carbide is quite strong and durable as well.

It's extremely suspicious and unusual for companies to be let off the legal hook for CP distribution. And lest we forget, Reddit has gotten away with it for many years without even FBI involvement, so far as we can see. In a not-so-distant time they were openly trading and leering over photos of young girls on reddit (/r/jailbait) without consequence for the owners.

I believe the appeals brief cites almost all the important cases decided by other District Courts, and while those aren't precedential, not another court came to this conclusion. They all came to the conclusion the appellants (the Doe plaintiffs) are arguing for, and which appears obvious from the language of the statute, that Congress intended to and actually did entirely abrogate 230 protection for civil actions brought under child trafficking laws.

As the IPO gets closer and closer you will see the admins going after more and more subreddits that are unfriendly to investor's interests. They'll start with shit like the drug forums and eventually get to the porn ones. I can't wait for the tsunami of coomer tears.

I saw a subreddit once that was morbidly fascinating but I can't remember the name of. Basically it was a sub for terminal alcoholics who didn't want to quit and knew they were going to die but posted anyways about how they got arrested because the cops found them completely naked and covered in shit ranting about aliens in a Starbucks or something.

Anyone know which one this is?
