This photo makes sense now. I feel so bad for her. She was always surrounded by such shitty people.

If Sulli went through that, then you can be sure current and past idols went through it.This photo makes sense now. I feel so bad for her. She was always surrounded by such shitty people.

In March 2014, BoA was appointed as a de facto creative director in S.M. Entertainment, alongside labelmate Kangta; she was placed in charge of mental care of artists who debut at a young age.
I’m not a fan of Boa (I just occasionally listen to some of her music) but I do feel bad for her as she’s been in the k pop industry for most of her life. She debuted really young but she surprisingly ended up somewhat normal compared to other K Pop stars who debuted young. If Sulli went through that, then you can be sure current and past idols went through it.
I wonder what BoA thinks about it, she was scouted around the same age. I imagine that even if she ever wanted to say anything she'd "suicide", or maybe she was fine with it because some people just want to be famous no matter what.

I think for one, TVXQ! is the most unique, special, iconic, complicated and powerful name ever in the history of all groups, not just Kpop.
In the video, the flight attendants responded to a few comments netizens asked about idols going on the flight. One netizen wrote, "When you go to the airport to see your idol, you can purchase the ticket and take pictures of them, then ask for a refund at the boarding gate, right?" After reading this comment, the flight attendants let out a deep sigh and continued to say, "I hope you don't do this."
Another issue the flight attendants brought up is the large cameras that the Sasaeng fans would bring onto the flight to take photos of the idols. One flight attendant pointed out, "They being a big telephoto lens on the plane and take pictures of the idols, and I'd have a panic attack if that was me." The other flight attendant explained, "One time, some idol fan gave me a voice recorder and asked me to record the conversation with the idol."
I hope you aren't implying anything about Kangta or Yunho??This photo makes sense now. I feel so bad for her. She was always surrounded by such shitty people.

Come on, BoA isn't a therapist and has her own schedule, she can't attend to the mental health needs of the dozens of SME artists. But if an actual therapist said that to Jonghyun... He was an amazing man and it was a real loss. That 'doc' should lose their fucking license.Wow... she really did such a shit job at taking care of the mental health of other SM artists. I doubt anything in K pop will ever change it’s such BS. Korea doesn’t give a shit about mental health. Therapy is basically non existent there. I’m pretty sure Jonghyun from Shinee tried to get mental help and the therapist blamed his depression on his personality. You’d think that maybe something would happen after Jonghyun’s suicide and how “the entire nation was shocked” but no, Sulli killed herself like a year later. It would be nice if SM ent actually started putting more emphasis on the mental health of their artists but I doubt it will ever happen.
While I agree that Korea shouldn't be held to Western 'social justice' standards, they absolutely know that this particular example of blackface is racist.Other times in South Korean media, Kpop fans get very angry when they see something like blackface in SK media. Even though they know that the South Koreans never enslaved any Blacks, and often don't even know it's a taboo thing in the west. They want the SK culture to bend to their Western culture. Hmmm kinda colonialist isn't it?

Actually, people from other countries really don't. When I went to Australia in 2000 for the Olympics. I saw a blackface skit on primetime. The only reason people discovered it was offensive, is because Harry Connick Jr was a guest and threw a shitfit live. While I agree that Korea shouldn't be held to Western 'social justice' standards, they absolutely know that this particular example of blackface is racist.
I was honestly expecting Oli London, such a disappointment to just see some random girl.
South Korean Kpop is a music industry unto itself. It often borrows musical genres in order to push the envelope and progress the scene. For example in the last few months they've borrowed instruments and beats from Middle Eastern and Indian influences for songs such as IVE - Eleven. And Loona - PTT. Among others. Last year I believe there were some Spanish and Mexican influences.
The most interesting for me however was a form of rap. This originated in Japan after being influenced by the Hip Hop scene in the US. At it's core it's really just an Japanese girl quietly and sometimes melodically rapping.
But as Kpop does, it decided to give this genre a go, complete with Japanese Lolita dress.
