General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Karen has a Japanese bf and is going to be splitting time between the US and Japan huh. Good luck with that. I'm disappointed the pic got nuked so quick, I wanted to see deadbeats cry.

It would suck if not everyone wants to be drawn by Mumei. I get it if it was their actual face but it's just their model and it's exposure among a fellow member, but why would I be surprised by a culture where it's required to use 3 filters and 2 stickers directly over their mouth and nose every selfie they take.

I could be wrong but I remember hearing that it's actually not really easy to fire someone for simply having a significant other under Japanese law. "Dating bans" tend to rely more on subtle pressure than outright "if you date, you are fired" written in ink. But yeah, Cover doesn't seem too concerned with this kind of thing, I doubt they care.
The dating thing is a cultural thing not a contractual thing but Japan love to declare Damnatio very quickly if someone become unprofitable or a PR annoyane

They can say they dont "enforce" it but if you become a PR nuisance prepare to be branded

I follow so many JP accounts of gravure idols and cosplayers and it makes me hate the heart and 'monkey see no evil' emoji with every fiber of my being.

The Mumei art surprised me. I didn't think anyone would say no outright. I would imagine people would just say to tone it down a bit but not say no completely. Maybe it's a case of miscommunication.

When they say "we don't interfere with our chuubas' personal lives" really what they are saying is stop e-mailing complaints to the company.

Well didn't take too long for a new account to post Karens got BF, honestly and only thing glad she least got what she wanted good for her, and motherfuckers sad

Edit: Also just noticed but looks like Saruei is off the mean streamer ban list, might actually watch this just to see people reactions

lol pretty much. As long as Calli doesn't spill her beans she should be fine. Doomposting aside, the only real threat to her career is herself and how she will decide to deal with the situation. Moving on business as usual should be the best way to go but this girl likes to visit 4chan so I don't know.

What happen? Did some Holomems ask Mumei to not draw them?

Edit: Never mind. Didn't see that there is a clip

Here's a fun rrat stormcloud. Try and guess which holomembers said "no" to being drawn by Mumei

That title is misleading

Did i watch a different clip than everyone else? She specifically said no one has said no yet and atleast to me it sounded like she hasn't asked everyone yet anyway.
The clip's title is misleading yes, but her point was more that 'if' someone says no her fans shouldn't make a big deal out of it / spam that member's chat about it.

Realistically i can't see any member disagreeing, she's even letting them give her a rough suggestion how to draw them.

I think she's smart enough to have learnt from the cuck artwork incident. Don't say anything and move on. Let the few crazies burn themselves out.

At the end we'll see who wasn't drawn.

I think you're right and the resistance is mostly misunderstanding. Almost none of the JPs seem unkind enough to refuse Mumei's attention. Suisei, Flare, and Aqua have "self"-image problems, so I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't respond positively, but I think the ones left out will be the ones who least understand English.

When has reality stopped the thread tards from freaking out over nothing before?

I mean they are STILL GOING over the Karen/Ao pic.

Any ideas on what the fairy has been working on? She mentioned a late meeting last night and everyone was really nice.
That's not something you say about your coworkers. It seems like she's working on something with external forces.
If you're referring to Pomu, I can only speculate as I've not been able to watch any V-Tubers properly for a little while now.

About a month or two ago, Pomu took a week hiatus in order to 'make some progress on a project' and I'm pretty sure it is related to their 1-year anniversary coming up next month. It really could be anything, though.

Edit: Literally as I posted this she brought it up again and yeah, it seems she's working with people she doesn't immediately know. Nijisanji has a lot of people, so I won't jump to it being 'external' as it could just as easily be any of the 100+ members she's never spoken to.
