I've had this opinion for a long time: Bob should have bought a plot for Chris. But Bob was to oblivious/prideful that Chris would succeed on his own and thought Chris would keep the house and use his inheritance for his own plot. And look what ended up happening.
This is the ending for Chris. Unless weens/enablers/white knights as usual, ironically do a crowdfunding for Chris' plot. Other that being part of a protected group (lgbt 'transwoman') why would one cover funeral expenses for someone as unpleasant and selfish as Chris.

True, but this is Chris we're talking about here. If someone were to present Bob of how a 40 year old Chris would turn out, guaranteed Bob would arrange a plot for him. Realistically, Bob could have bought a plot for him when Chris was in his mid to late 20s, cause Chris had just graduated and had done nothing with his life.
It seems like Bob really thought Chris was going to somehow turn his life around and make something of himself. He remained wrongfully optimistic until the bitter end.
There’s a possibility that in the back of Bob’s mind he thought, “I’ve had to hand-hold and drag this ungrateful dirty lazy kid through every single thing in life. Let him arrange what happens after on his own.” And I wouldn’t blame him at all.
Bob is a bit of the sad part of the story. Hoping your son does great things only to see him turn into a deranged manic who fucked your wife years after you passed.

Chris wrote in a letter than family was involved in Barb’s life again. That much is true. Whether or not they moved Barb out of 14blc is speculation.
If Chris is found capable of standing trial and found innocent, (both very lofty assumptions btw) I doubt he'll be returning to 14 Branchland due to the shit he committed.
I'd say that's kinda bad planning then. In a world of uncertainty, I know that I'd have to expect the worst even down to my own kin if anything were to happen.
