Meh, Carl's Lotus Eaters channel is doing reasonably well by all accounts. It's a good idea to bring on university educated commentators that know their stuff. They do interesting articles on history, ideology and a myriad of different subjects, which is a damn sight better than what most right wing grifters are doing. If anything, at least Carl has a little bit of initiative.

Take Count Dankula for example. His channel revolves around his "Mad Lad" series, which is basically just him reading a wikipedia page for 45 minutes. Dull as fuck. I preferred his old content. At least there was variety. Now it's either mad lads or Count Chunk reading news articles. I like Dank, but he needs to up his game a bit.
Its almost unbelievable that Lotus Eaters is as good as it is considering Carl owns it, for someone with as big of an ego as Carl has you'd think he's be the kind of domineering boss and be involved in everything but it seems like outside of podcasts the contributors are left to do their own thing.

Sargon's biggest weakness of all has to be his inability to pick and choose his battles wisely. For example, him getting into pointless drama with Jim and not accepting him as a neutral.
Or him not addressing the rise of breadtube until it was a year to late.
Couldn't agree more. I also like to chime in and add what I feel like is another one of his biggest weaknesses and that's his insecurity about his intelligence. I believe he knows deep down he's a midwit and that gets to him so he feels the need to overcompensate.

Just realised that Carlgon's moved on from Starship Troopers and is now applying his supreme polisci skills to WH40K:

Yes, those are Da Boyz in the thumbnails of some other recentish videos.

To his benefit, WH40K does provide a much deeper and broader well to draw from for bollocks content and he can't realistically do any more damage to it than Games Workshop. However, if he delves too deeply he may awaken GW's legal orcs, which will be great fun to watch. They are extremely litigious.

His I'm 14 and this is deep defence of the bad guys* reminds me of another time he leapt to the defence of somebody he felt was unjustly maligned...
*AFAIK nearly everybody is the bad guys in WH40K, that's the subtext

I'll admit I'm very out of date with Sargon lore, but whatever came of the Liberalists? I remember his announcement video about it and then...nothing.
He did to the Liberalists like what he did to UKIP:

He fucked it to death.

Metokur called it gay, said Sargon would actually be more useful if he just kept doing what he was doing because Sargon is on the internet and will therefore never make it in politics. Sargon ignored this. However when taking things IRL he kept up exactly the same attitude he had on the net and did not take it seriously.

So he ruined it.

He pulled exactly the same shit with UKIP. For the same reason. To own the libs.

He did wake up. It just required him getting humiliated in his UKIP run.
No he didn’t. All the same personality traits that make him a cow are there. And the whole lotus eater thing is him trying to be like Steve Bannon.

Sure, he’s not getting milkshaked in the street or stalked by Godwinson in a pub. But even the lotus eater stint has its roots in grandiosity.

I'm not saying it doesn't have it's roots there. But he is much better about stuff than he was with Liberalists or UKIP.

My favorite Carl moment was when he tried to claim he discovered the concept of projection by calling it "Sargon's Law" or something

That was before the internet learned about that and all the other terms it likes to overuse today like cognitive dissonance and shit

I think that was era when 'Sargon' became a unit of time.

Nope nope nope.

Stop right there, Sargon is better?

Sargon believes science is evil and has no understanding of what engineering is, ie he does not believe it has any thing to do with science.
The "American needs a monarch" Sargon.
The "ISIS are the good guys" Sargon.
The "Putin is based and Ukraine should give op" Sargon.
The Sargon?

The only reason you think he is better is because he is now so irrelevant that no one gives a shit about the retard anymore.

If Sargon was interesting he wouldve had a memorable Joe Rogan episode. Instead he cried about being called trash by Anita. That shouldve been his wake up called.
His Joe Rogan episode was memorable - it was one of the few times Joe Rogan looked visibly uncomfortable with his guest.

For all his spergyness, Sargon would probably be okay to have a beer with in person - but he just talked and talked about ridiculous internet nonsense. Shit that noone knew or cared about, and when Joe Rogan pleaded for Carl to explain some of this shit to the audience he was like "they know".

Terrible guest, interesting interview... For the wrong reasons.
