Welp. I had said if he hadn’t provided proof within 24 hours that he was lying about everything and had no intentions of changing. To the shock and awe of fucking nobody, I was right.

In my previous comment on this thread, I berated him for his quick apology, saying that he wasn't sorry for what he did, but sorry he was caught, and that this is typical abuser behavior to get everyone's guards down so he can continue being a freak.

Thanks for proving me right, @Synthia The Dragoness! You are a disgusting excuse for a human being, and you deserve every ounce of retribution that comes for you.

Dunno if you ever watched TCAP back in the day, but Phil's behavior is actually pretty typical of chomos in the moments after they get caught.

They play down their predation (usually it's "this is the first time I've done this", so opening with something as bad as "I haven't touched a kid in five weeks!" is an incredibly worrying start), play up their patheticness (they think being pathetic makes them appear like less of a threat; "I'm a loser" = sympathy), admit that they know what they're doing is wrong and say that they want to get help (translation: "let me go!!! don't kill me!!!"), and tie it all together by claiming that they've had these remorseful thoughts for awhile now ("five weeks!" again), and just you guys wait, yep, tomorrow is going to be a brand new day, no more child molestation for me, no sireebob! Just as soon as I walk out that door!

They treat their bust like an impromptu therapy session, and with only a few exceptions, they're quite passive towards the people who caught them, and surprisingly candid about what they were doing when they got caught.

And to no one's surprise, as soon as the heat is off, the remorseful noncemen jump right back online and do the same shit again.

It lacks the sexist charm of Geordie, the lovable villainous quality of Cockney and the down to earth downtroddeness of Yorkshire.

What Americans got wrong for their version of Shameless is that it was supposed to be about Manchester’s good and great.

I feel like that's a statement that would speak for itself? Or not speak for itself? Or not need to be said, like ever if you're a normal human. Second, once one makes a statement that they are 5 weeks off of the kids then one should perhaps not ask for kudos for being a fucking normal person.
