In an ideal world, I'd agree with you, but that's not really an option for Ukraine in this context. No MG is expendable; and the crews designated to run them aren't going to be fresh conscripts or green volunteers, except for possibly the guy who humps the spare barrels and/or tripod/mount.
And even then, no section NCO is going to want a fumblefingered fuckass feeding their gun ammo, forgetting spare barrels, dropping T&E's, or just plain not knowing how to unfuck themselves.
The Russian navy's superiority is undeniable.Since when The Guardian is stealing Babylon Bee's articles?
Please explain, I don't understand what's going on anymore.![]()
I mean it likely happens during the Siege but that’s still not a very viable strategyDuring the battle itself, or after captured German prisoners were sent to a Siberian prison camp? Definitely acknowledged to have happened during the Siege of Leningrad.
Oh, I'm sure there is. Just off the top of my head, last Pepsi and Nestle are maintaining a lot of their Russian operations that provide staple foods. No sanctions force them to shutter those operations and "for humanitarian reasons" was a good enough moral high ground that they felt comfortable ignoring people demanding further boycotting of Russia, or if necessary politely telling them to fuck off. Staple food in this case being mostly milk, baby formula, baby food, cereal, and pet food. I dare them being forced to shutter production and distribution operations, fire tens of thousands of employees, and tell tens of thousands more in their supply chain "sorry, you're on your own" is a bit harder to fix than a franchise restaurant needing to change its sign. Beyond that, sanctions against Russian shipping appears to be still fairly limited and patchwork, with Russian owned ships still able to make port in some countries sanctioning Russia, and some non-Russia shipping companies still being allowed to accept some Russian cargoes. That's something further sanctions could change. Next to come to mind is that the sanctions have basically avoided attempting to ban medical supplies and devices to Russia. I'm sure the banking sanctions complicate paying for them, but it's still legal to send them to Russia for now.Because there is literally nothing else that you can possibly do to punish Russia more.
Yes, proportional response exists for a reason. That's why when Russia attacked Ukraine in 2014 and annexed Crimea, the sanctions were much more limited. A mostly bloodless limited land grab that didn't garner much protest from the region being conquered didn't call for completely crushing sanctions. Now that years later Russia didn't stop there and proceeded to attempt to conquer all of Ukraine to much bloodshed and strong resistance in many areas, much harsher sanctions were called for.And before people try to gotcha me with a "haw haw Russia attacked first suck it vatnik", I'd like to point out the concept of proportional response exists for a reason. Yes, attacking Ukraine was a retarded dick move. No, it was not sufficient reason to send the entire world order tumbling down on our heads, and by "our" I do not mean myself and my countrymen. The ripples and aftershocks will make it worse for everybody.
No, he can't. As president of Ukraine, his main job at this point is beggar in chief. It's his job to wheedle support out of other countries even if it means looking like an idiot by asking for the sun, moon, and stars just to get a few more tanks. Can Zelenskyy just shut the fuck up? He's basically the ultimate choosing beggar in global politics.
I doubt anything will come of the saber rattling. China isn't ready to make a military move on Taiwan, and Taiwan isn't interested in doing anything that'd force China's hand into trying anyway. The biggest possible threat to the status quo at the moment would be the US suddenly insisting that Taiwan was an independent country. Which would force China into some sort of response. The eternal anglo is rattling it's rusty old sabers and claiming we need a "global NATO" which includes nations in the West Pacific. The last world war only cost Britain its entire empire, surely they would fare better in a hypothetical WWIII. I hope they keep pressing this line, because I think it will only serve to reveal how weak NATO is.
I doubt Romania would participate. My guess would be they're putting troops into position to ensure that if shit starts to go down in Transnistria, they can keep it from spilling into Romania. With a bonus of having troops ready nearby to give them more options.A column of military armored vehicles is moving from Romania towards Ukraine. Rumours of possible participation of Romania in Transnistria coming conflict, possibly dragging NATO into conflict.

I'm going to wager it's incomplete, out of date, or specific to troops stationed in his region.International Legion of Territorial Defense of Ukraine allegedly got doxed.
Here is documents that were found on the phone of Vitaliy Kim, governor of Nikolaev.
Can somebody try to find at least one of those on twitter or facebook or some other social platform to confirm if this is true or not?
Bullshit. NATO throwing Russia out of Ukraine isn't a war of national survival. Even if that means Ukraine being restored to its pre-2014 borders and Russian bases and supply lines being used for the war on Ukraine being bombed into ineffectiveness. Humiliating for Russia? Sure. A matter of national survival? No. I'm sure Putin would try and cast it as another Great Patriotic War, but that's going to be harder to sell as time goes on and the west fails to do more than what's required to get Russia out of Ukraine, then starts talking peace treaty. In the current situation, zero.
However, if there is direct NATO intervention, Russia will (correctly) see it as a war of national survival, a second Great Patriotic War, and from that point all bets are off.
I'm surprised it wasn't the version with the flag in the background:Zelensky was presented with a "Saint Javelin," and this is not a joke.
A T-shirt from a "foreign benefactor" with the image of "Saint Javeline" was presented to Zelensky by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Reznikov.

During the battle Germans who were cut off from supplies allegedly had to forage for food, which included frozen corpses.During the battle itself, or after captured German prisoners were sent to a Siberian prison camp? Definitely acknowledged to have happened during the Siege of Leningrad.
@The Ghost of Kviv
I read through the article. Very interesting, it goes against a lot of the mainstream (bit Russia-aligned, however). Still an interesting read, seems to mirror a lot of the information from the pro-Russia side in this thread itself.

thats only for poor countries. the experienced units use the lighter, but worse MGs while the Fresh conscripts get to go to the warehouse to get the good stuff to defend the Gap.No MG is expendable; and the crews designated to run them aren't going to be fresh conscripts or green volunteers, except for possibly the guy who humps the spare barrels and/or tripod/mount.
Or the kitty.Russian Soldier handing out the same military ration that were found next to corpses in Butcha. Lets hope Ukrainians did not get this babushka too.

I don't have TV or cable so I don't see it. That doesn't mean I can't access it because when I do its so wildly removed from reality I just stop watching. Is anyone else seriously considering that they aren't under a total assault of reality? The information war is out of control when it comes to "Zee Ukraine War."
We already know that Azov is a thing. Anyone who isn't switched on, has no idea that "The Battalion" exists. Don't get me wrong....get some you Nazis. Fucking Russia. But are we all still pretending?
