Why so? Teslas are shit, Paypal sucks but Starlink seems like a good idea fundamentally, I don't see how Elon is any worse than Jeff Bezos or your average oil tycoon.

Twitter has blocked its developers from making changes to the app to prevent it from being sabotaged by left-wing staff angry at Elon Musk's $44 billion takeover amid an outbreak of hysteria among liberal social media personalities who are threatening to quit the social media giant.

The Tesla founder said he wanted to re-establish the principle of free speech on the platform and has joined criticism of its moderation policies which are accused of disproportionately targeting conservative voices, but his critics claim he will allow 'hate to flourish'.

Twitter has now banned any product updates that are not 'business-critical,' the move aims to prevent angry staff from 'going rogue', a source told Bloomberg, and comes after employees dismissed Musk as 'dangerous to democracy'.

Employees bombarded internal message boards with attacks on Musk:

'I feel like I'm going to throw up. I really don't wanna work for a company that is owned by Elon Musk,' one staffer said, The New York Times reported.

Another Twitter employee reportedly complained: 'I feel like he's this petulant little boy and that he's doing this to troll. He doesn't know anything about our policies and what we do. His statement about our algo was fucking insane.'

Some Twitter staff were openly rebelling against Musk, one observer noted, posting a screen shot of Twitter's official Github site and posting a public response entitled 'The Algorithm', with zero code.

Meanwhile, Leslie Miley, a former Twitter employee, said that Twitter was going 'going to let a man-child essentially take over their platform'.

CEO Parag Agrawal addressed staff on Monday dodging questions about whether Donald Trump would be allowed to rejoin.

Staff were told there would be no layoffs 'at this time' - but no guarantees were provided when Musk takes over.

Half of those are probably DEI officers, censors and other hall-monitors, and other worse-than-useless administrative types. Just like any other tech company, the more useful the employee, the less likely they are to be woke. So he’ll have greater retention with the competent, and there are millions of excellent tech people who will be thrilled to join a de-woked dotcom where they’re guaranteed to be remote.

I do recommend that all employees who quit or get laid off be banned lol. All they’ll do is brat it up trying to get banned so they can claim censorship..

True, the world would improve if there were fewer Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos' out there, not because Elon is a swell guy, but because his narcissism is channeled into trying to build a legacy as a bringer of revolutionary technological achievements rather than throwing cash at progressive politicians so you can be remembered as a good liberal

Musk doesn't have full control yet and twitter is still run by the old censors and old TOS. There has been some unexpected leniency or inaction taken on some tweets, but I wouldn't bet my account on it. On the one hand, Sara Gonzales has been going off the past few days and hasn't caught a ban yet, on the other hand the Babylon Bee and Meghan Murphy are still banned/suspended.

I'm expecting they're giving more leeway as they remove the filters such as shadowbanning and pro-commie algorithms, as most people are.
