Which is the patently retarded way to look at the Bill of Rights. The whole point of those amendments was to make it clear the federal government couldn't cross certain thresholds. Simply put, even if the 2nd amendment literally didn't exist, the federal government would have no arbitrary power (short of disarming rebels and traitors) to disarm the populace because that isn't among it's enumerated powers. The Founding Father's imagination or lack thereof doesn't matter.
I won't deny your argument, but any determined political entity will do its damnedest to ensure its own power. And with the people in charge, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights limit their power. They've spent decades, if not the better part of two centuries, expanding the role of government until it is a near monolith of power. They see the Constitution as nothing more than a scrap of paper. The only reason they bother with it as more than a legal fiction is because it'd look bad. So they'll try and chip at each part of it. Look at the 2nd. Now they'll try with the 1st.

There is no better argument against them than this. It's a pity we have allowed this to happen for so long.

there are a few blue states on that map
cali is the most blue
and it's BARELY BLUE
holy shit
I see that Massachusetts is also getting fed up with the dismal Biden side-show. It's taking a long time for people here to hold their nose at the Democrats' malfeasance but I think the prices of basic goods are finally wearing thin the patience of us Massholes. A shame we can't hate Biden's guts as much as New Hampshire does.

Nah. For comparison, New York is looking "Tilt Blue" in its color tint. Fake af until I see otherwise in November, btw.

Vermont, Maryland, Massachusetts, and California have that "lean" tint. But their definitely safe D.

Is it fair to say that Biden is such a bad president he actually killed the Trump thread on the main board?

For a few months, it was extremely popular and had several dedicated posters. It was clear that many of them were the same people who'd been frustrated by Trump his entire presidency. Yet despite having an active, vocal userbase that made it extremely active, it withered and died by late 2021, going from a front-page staple to barely staying on Page 2.

Has Biden fucked up so bad that nobody gives a shit about the orange man anymore?

No, he’s fucked up so bad that even some of the former detractors want trump back

I was also surprised to see how Hawai'i is also barely blue, given that the State has always been as Blue as the Pacific Ocean. However, given the amount of votes that Trump got there during the 2020 Election, and the state feeling those higher gas prices (although they still haven't reached the worst of Cali's gas prices, yet.) then maybe the barely blue part makes sense after all.

Caught a blip on Fox tonight that apparently the 1/6 committee has decided they'll release a "final report" in September. Odds on it being a hail mary attempt to push election reform, since "muh Insurrection" is pretty much the only thing other than "muh covid" that most of their normie supporters still screech enough about? I think they'll try to ban poll waters and anyone trying to prevent more boxes being "discovered" by claiming it poses a risk.

Transparently. I don't think it could be interpreted as anything else at this point.

Good guess. DOJ will release a report at the same time about the risk of extremist White violence, wrap it all together in a nice bow, and this is why you can't see what they do with your vote, goyim.

They already block out the windows and push you back at the door like bouncers at the precincts, so might as well have armed guards kill anyone who gets too (and righteously) ornery.

Thinking more about this newly made "Ministry of Truth" has led me coming to disturbing revelation. You know how gun control advocates always bring up that the Founding Fathers never imagined automatic weapons when they wrote the 2nd Amendment? A common retort to that is, "Well the Founding Fathers never imagined television and the Internet when writing the 1st Amendment." It seems the purpose of the DGB (yes, that's is actually abbreviation for it) will be to restrict the 1st the same way the 2nd has been over the decades. The same way these people say, "Nobody needs *insert type of gun/x number of ammunition*" will soon be saying, "Not everyone has the right to say/post whatever they want," and unironically say, "When Freedom of Speech and Freedom of the Press was written, the Founders did not imagine mass communication or how fast disinformation could spread."
Every time someone uses the "assault/fast-firing weapons weren't envisioned by the founding fathers" argument against 2A, I like to bring up the existence of the Puckle gun, made in the late 1710s.

Anyway, speaking of the Ministry of Truth, I like how the 33 billion support package for Ukraine specifically lists countering Russian disinformation and propaganda narratives by supporting activists, journalists, and independent media. Hmm suspicious.

Good luck with that. With what happened in 2020, I doubt GOP voters will lay down and take it a second time. Maybe in Lib areas, but not in red states. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
