I don't think it makes sense anymore to compare Phil's progress in a game with the rest of the gaming world. He doesn't actually care about the game, or enjoying it, learning about the game worlds and stories, any kind of tactical self-improvement, any kind of puzzle-solving.

The only thing video games are to Phil is a way to beg people for money. Whatever strategy he thinks will make him the most money: playing a new release, playing an old release, playing a FromSoft game, playing a children's game, dragging a game out, whatever it is, it's about how Phil can make the most money.

That's why he pretends to have such a rigid schedule despite having complete control over his working hours: the schedule isn't for the viewers, it's for him to milk what he needs, when he needs to.

He may beat games we would expect him to ragequit, he may ragequit the simplest games, he could take more or less time than the average gamer. Whatever it is, the only amount of effort and energy put into any of it is what to say and what to play to get the most pity bucks.

Gaming to DSP is like a sob story to a homeless person. It matters only inasmuch as you can profit from it.

He is so lacking in identity and life experiences he has to add prestige to every little mundane thing about himself. He isn't a fat ass who facetanked his way through previous FromSoft games. He's a historic legacy style player.

Ah sorry I forgot: he did that on older Souls games. My bad. So far he played solo (well with AI summons)

Thing is, he does it to himself, like he does in every game. He brags and boasts how great he either not so subtly or outright comparing himself to others that play the game. It's par for the course at this point with his playthroughs.

In totally completely for reals unrelated news. PDP recently did a no death run in less time than it's taking phil, the souls veteran who's also historic, to beat one boss

Sweaty jpeg man talking about the resale value of nfts is too good.

Sucks wwe didn't have some shitty nft game ready to go during the time morons had no fucking clue. Phil would have dumped so much into it. The begging would have been off the charts.

Deep down he loves the idea of it. If he could resell pulls he'd be in heaven.
