I can't say I find it insulting, because when a christian, or someone of any religious faith says something like a serial killer could have a death-bed confession and be redeemed in the eyes of god, but also believe that me marrying and living in a monogamous relationship with my long-term partner is going to bring down the foundations of civilisation, it really highlights just how warped and silly the belief is,
