No, because Luna and Lurch were never part of the treatment recovery program, despite Luna's mom's case worker trying to get them to be. If they were, the program would just pay the landlord rent like they were for Luna's mom and he wouldn't be trying to remove them. As I said before, I think this is just the result of decades of terrible laws, ordinances, and social programs (like their lawyer) that have created a competely fucked situation in multiple parts of the country that was made even worse by covid. What's happening with Luna and Lurch is not even that unique and if you think it is then you're not paying attention.

Wouldn’t there be repercussions for not following a court order tho? Like if the courts told them they have to be out by July they HAVE to be out or id assume they’d get into bigger trouble by not following it?

Theoretically, sure, but nothing will happen. My prediction is at the end of July they'll go right back to whatever social justice lawyer they have now who will file a stay on the eviction process and we'll be right back to multiple postponed court dates.

Yes. Her mom is not the brightest bulb. That's why she has a social worker of her own from adult protection services; she isn't savvy enough on her own to stay away from her leeching druggie daughter.

She's squatting in the house her mom previously secured, whereas both her parents have their own apartments and jobs. They have always been more functional than Luna, even when they were her age. I read up on squatters rights in NY and they have actually had a legal leg to stand on to be allowed to stay since they spent longer than 30 days there. But they trashed it completely and so that removes possibility for them to claim they're beautifying or repairing it, another thing they could have used.
I was blow away by how easy it seems it is to just squat on someones property and have it legally end up yours in NY.

There's 5 categories of squatting but only 2 seem like they could have anything to do with Luna.

Is there any confirmation that her mother is in sober living and not just low incoming housing? I know we know that her mother was sober until they came to live with her but the way Luna talks about to rid neighbors it seems they’re all doing drugs or selling them. I thought Luna said it was section 8? If her mom is getting help for housing from the government and they checked in and found out she broke their rules for them giving her help (such as housing other people) they for sure can kick luna’s mom out. It seemed like they relocated her since they couldn’t kick Luna and lurch out because of stupid squatting rights.
