TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - A large-scale fight involving at least one adult caused a lockdown at a school in Tucson on Tuesday, May 3.

The Tucson Police Department said officers were called to Tucson High by the Tucson Unified School District.

The TPD said investigators believe the fight started when a man showed up on campus during a lunch break. The TPD said a least one person was detained, there were no reported injuries and no weapons involved.

The district said all students and staff are safe and the campus returned to normal operations. TUSD did say that “some safety restrictions, including continued School Safety and TPD presence, (will continue for) the remainder of the day and week.”

Several videos posted online show a very large fight with at least 30 people involved.

Have seen better-behaved pig pens. Interesting to see the school has their own police department. Tells you a lot about just who attends the school. Oh, well, not like you're going to see too many of these "students" doing anything useful in life anyway. For them, after high school, life tends to be all downhill.

Were high schools like this when you were their age?

No. I attended four different high schools, two in big cities, one in SoCal, and NONE of them were like this.

There would have been teachers in there yanking people out and throwing them out of the crowd.

Fuck, the COPS would have been called.

How old are you and @JosephStalin anyway, ballpark? I'm pretty sure I'm a decent amount older than most people here but I have a feeling you two have me beat.

The most I'll say about my own age is that I'm plus or minus several years of 40.

67 next month. 👍 Just a number to me. While I grudgingly acknowledge the passage of time, shall never acknowledge growing old. FUCK growing old.

I'm 59 and don't remember any fights like this in high school.
Fights back then were two guys (sometimes girls) going at it bare knuckles behind the gym in the football field or parking lot after school.
Having your friends jump in was a pussy thing to do, and no one ever brought a gun into a fight. That would've been the ultimate pussy act.
