When the grift right was being censored on mainstream platforms that are privately owned, they would decry Freedom of Speech. Private companies have no duty to uphold the First Amendment regardless of what you and I may think. I will go further and say it's wrong to censor people on dominant platforms. I think false DMCA takedowns and copyright strikes is censorship as well. The CPC and other more authoritarian governments would use this as an excuse to seize streaming sites -- it's not that the film is critical of the state, they are streaming it illegally without copyright, and no, companies will not be able to purchase distribution rights because we fucking said so!
Now these grifters, after shitting up a myriad of so called "alt-tech" platforms that could be promising, have built their own. Suddenly, DMCA takedowns and copyright strikes are a fucking manifestation of free speech. However, it's cringe when the same poison is used against them. Additionally, free speech becomes a privilege, not a right.
The same logic applies to doxing, now it's unethical and immoral to dox someone, when they had no issues with it previously. The definition of doxing expanded as well, sharing a publicly available article with some information regarding a public "charity evangelical" organisation is doxing. Showing publicly available news articles and websites is "doxing". Anything that exposes their idiocy is doxing.
Here we are, where the definition of SWATing is morphed to their advantage too. SWATing is an act of attempted murder, gay, whoever does it should be fucking shot. Nevertheless, it doesn't include welfare checks or pizza. These idiots would be the first to point out this fact if their detractors called a pizza delivery "SWATing".
So what are the parallels?
Braindead lefties would call everything racist and xenophobic, the definition of these words change, such that "people of power" are left out, usually characterised as being White or having higher income (Indians and Asians). They tend to forget that usually, they are White, or "White" but with a small hat, and their definitions can be flipped onto themselves. If you do it though, you're engaging in "reverse racism", whatever the heck that's supposed to mean. They'll also make grand assumptions and define "free speech" to only include their worthless talking points, such as "hate speech is not free speech".
This applies to doxing as well, the ADL or SPLC had a baffling and retarded article on "criminal doxing", a tl;dr of the article is "it's okay when we do it to right-wingers".
Same goes with SWATing, it's gay and criminal, but the underlining rationalism is similar.
