Dunno if management shilled EN to JP after the merge/IPO announcement, but some of the JPs seem more interested in interacting with other branches now. Nagao actually seems pretty invested in EN, at least more than the standard affair of doing a single Duolingo stream every couple months and never bringing it up anywhere else. I dunno if there's ever been a case of a corpo managing to learn a language to a communicative degree within the time there, but it'd be cool to see, although still really unlikely.

I think this is pretty cool. NijiJP and NijiEN barely fucking interact with each other. Seeing EN's success by branching out might have also prompted them to branch out themselves.

Not a new or recent thing perse, a lot of JP members have stated they wanted to meet their EN kouhai but weren't confident in English, so now that there's more interaction possibilities with EN a lot are doing their reps and even though Selen hasn't done her JP reps fully, she's always trying to organize collabs between the branches.
