It's one of those things where you're like... "your terms are acceptable."

Yeah, the whole issue is that this never was decided by law or the system. So if the feds want to codify it, then let's have that political talk over it right now.

Has anyone else experienced SJW-ing in this way?
Years ago I was dating an SJW before I wisened up; he was the standard "White people bad, all non-whites good!"

So he learns about my heritage: my mom is descended from several Mayflower families 400 years ago, my dad is Native American, part of the Algonquin nation.
SJW Bro decides to start calling me a "basic White Girl, 1/64th Cherokee princess that can't even name what tribe she's from!" and racist for stealing Native Culture when I talked about my Algonquin Grandmother taking my cousins and me to Pow-Wows to teach us our heritage.
I'm assuming he was your typical white soyboy sjw. I hope you done cucked that Baizuo. Blacked raw nigga

He went full uwu It's MA'AM! tranny. I was still a woketard and offered fashion advice on how to dress femininely.
To be fair he was fat, but exercised enough his fat formed an hourglass figure, and I offered advice on how to accentuate the hourglass figure, but he refused all my advice and wore skirts down on his hips under his huge fucking gut.

You've stumbled upon a big motivation of SJWs: they want to be special. More special than anyone in their circle. This is also why he became a Ma'am.
Being half-Algonquin makes you more special than he is, and he resents you and is going to put you down for whatever reason or non-reason.

He's not wrong that there are cues of politics in those games, but they are a lot less in-your-face in comparison to a lot of modern games. Nothing is going to top the constant stream of “Orange Man Bad” references and Antifa cheerleading in the last two Wolfenstein games.
I distinguish the two as political themes and politics. Most games, shows, and movies have political themes. But they are broad, deeply interwoven with the narrative, and rely on more show not tell. Most importantly they don't insult the audience, instead they try to engage them. Politics is basically a drawn out political cartoon with no subtlety, but more important no substance.

Star Trek is a perfect example of this. That series was made with progressive politics in mind and they interwoven it into the world and characters. But how could the show engage with an audience across a wide spectrum when it is so political? It engages the audience with not only great characters and world building, but it invites viewers into high-minded discussions with the characters and gets you to think about other positions and possibilities.

Meanwhile new trek has thrown subtlety and substance out the window by literally turning to the camera and going "Hey guys. Did you know ICE is bad? WELL DID YOU FUCK FACE?! I DONT THINK YOU DO... SO HERE'S A WHOLE EPISODE OF US COMPLETELY STRAWMANNING THE ISSUE ABOUT IMMIGRATION REFORM!". There's no nuance, there's no empathy for the other positions, no substance.

The FF7 comparisons always get me.

You do, technically, play as Eco-Terrorists for the first part of the game. You are, however, the following.

- Eco Terrorists wherein only 1 person (Barret) is a true believer - everyone else already harbors huge regrets about what they're doing and realize it's not the morally correct thing to do. Being an Eco Terrorist is portrayed as a very bad thing in FF7.
- The 1 true believer (Barret) also eventually realizes that being an Eco Terrorist is an extremely bad thing and tries endlessly to repent.
- The company you are Eco Terrorizing (Shinra) knows about your plans and lets you do them because its actually super helpful for them - you're giving them excellent press and a perfect excuse to migrate to their new product (Neo Midgar), as well as even helping decomission old reactors and living sectors.

So the politics are there in FF7, but the first arc is mainly about LARP'ing as Eco Terrorists and Revolutionaries only to find out that you were a bunch of disposable "useful idiots" who were actually helping the big bad evil corporation all along. It's a shockingly "ahead of it's time" arc, considering we see it all the time now with political organizations (BLM, Antifa, etc). Odd how those same useful idiots on twitter miss that point.

Disagree. I'd much rather Susan Sarandon represented the modern left, she's far more honest. She tweets something based like this every few months and they all seethe at her and demand she delete it. They've been attacking her since 2015 because she didn't support Hillary enthusiastically enough.

Quoting this because of how it juxtaposes with Susan Sarandon accurately pointing out the Democrats control the elected branches of the federal government. "Republican tyranny since 2020" indeed.
